Late check in was available Evening staff were rude though I found the morning staff friendly. I was anxious to stay at a hotel by myself for the first time so I asked my fiance to at least help me go up and get settled. I understand that I was not allowed guests but the way this was conveyed was rude. They allowed my fiance to go up but we found that the AC was not working so my fiance went down to get some help and we were given a fan instead. We then got an abrupt phone call that my fiance was in my room for too long but this was because we were trying to get the AC to work by ourselves and he had to make his own way down and up to sort out an alternative for me. I understand there are policies but this can be conveyed in a kind and professional manner.

The room is very functional and clean but with not much flare. It is ok if you just need to stay for one or two nights. The area doesn't feel very safe. I arrived and there was a police car outside the premises, not a great welcome. My room was overlooking some big air vents outside that would go off every 20/30 minutes all night. I barely managed to get any sleep. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everything.

The property was in a location about 30 minutes walk from the city centre and had its own parking. It was easy to access from one of the main roads around the city centre. Staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on the small side but well equipped with a fridge, TV, kettle, iron & ironing board and well stocked with tea and coffee. Breakfast was included in our price and was continental but with scrambled eggs, sausage and beans as an option. All in all ideal for our one night stay and a great price. The hotel is a little dated inside but this is a minor thing compared to all the positives.
