Due to the age of the building you can easily here other guests move around above you and besides you

Great location, beautiful, medieval building, very friendly staff, great breakfast. One of my best experiences.

A really lovely hotel situated in the historic centre of Bruges about 15 mins walk from the Grand Place. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, well presented and with a good choice. Our room was on the small size but the bed was very comfortable and everything we need was provided including a coffee machine with fresh coffee pods. The hotel building dates back to the 16th century but it has a lovely atmosphere with lots of nooks and crannies. The hotel has no lift and there are lots of stairs to climb and therefore may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Such a charming inn on a quiet canal. We were welcomed with a box of chocolates by very friendly staff. The breakfast offered is extensive and has everything you would want. All the sites in Bruges are in walking distance. Would definitely stay here again! Only one small criticism. The eggs at breakfast were not that warm. Perhaps if the serving dish was heated it would keep the eggs warmer.

Perfect location on a quiet street in a 500 yr old building. NA

Not Applicable. Best Service Ever.

We were so thrilled to relocate to this hotel. The air conditioning, staff and rooms were incredible! The value was incredible. The welcome box of chocolate and parting cookies were the cherry on top! Unbelievably impressed. Canal views were perfection! Nothing

The location
-
The hotel offers a fantastic view of the canal, very neat and friendly, and everything is within a short stride. Everything was excellent, thank you.

Location was great. Away from the tourist areas. Quiet and serene area There was no stand up shower

The breakfast and breakfast room on the canal were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The workout room was perfect. The location was quiet and away from the busy center but just a short walk. We had a ground level room with a window onto the outdoor patio which made it less private. If I were to visit again I’d request a room in the canal (and happily pay more for it).

Location No standup shower, very difficult to take a shower

It was an old, but unique hotel. It had great AC in the middle of a heat wave. The rooms were spacious. No shower, just a tub. We were able to get into our room a bit early which was nice and the location was accessible in a short walk to the city center. Our one issue was booking a taxi with the front desk. I asked them to have a taxi to the train station for our family at 630am on departure day and watched her call. But then on that morning no one showed up and then when they did call we did not get an appropriately sized taxi and couldn't fit our luggage. So third try but we missed our direct train to Brussels so we were 30 minutes behind our scheduled time of arrival and barely made our flight after a 2hour security line. I don't think that was mostly their fault but rather the fault of the taxi service.
-
Our room was right above the canal, large windows that opened allowing you to seat on the window ledge and take in the surroundings. The information sheet with areas to eat and visit was fantastic would be great if more hotels did this.
-
Charming property, located in a quiet area but yet close enough to everything you want to see. Breakfast in the cellar was great! The room we had was small but still comfortable, there just wasn’t any real place to put our luggage in the room which made it feel that much smaller as we stuck it in the little hallway close to the door.
-
Great location. Close to main areas but a bit quieter just over the canal Nothing to think of. Since they have a “garden” it could be nicer but it seems really to be for smoking so people do not smoke in their rooms. It would not be a nice place to hang out in otherwise.

Everything perfect
-
Nice and close to the Markt and other attractions/restaurants

Lovely property, a short walk to the city centre and close to line 2 Gouden Handstraat bus stop. Room was cosy and quiet, bed was comfortable, aircon was appreciated and we slept well. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Nice bar in the hotel too for late night drinks. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Minor point only - shower was weak and water temperature was difficult to control (room 10).

The antiquites of the building for example with amazing oak(?) beams on the cellar level breakfast room and history of the builidng - first notes of it from 15th centyry! Our specific canal-level, canal view room was specifically nice with swans swimming by from a few meter distance in the canal. Location was good and breakfast was great with large selection.
