Low keyed, pleasant . Loved the pool. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast when buying could have more healthy choice ..eg rye , sourdough bread Poached eggs

Lovely staff, bright airy rooms with wonderful outlook over the valley. Close to the “town”; nice pool and surrounding area; overall good mid-range hotel

Closeness to town. Lovely staff. Breakfast included. Car to hire. Service the car as it was not good, no aircon in car, screeching fanbelt maybe. The smell in the room was unbearable - maybe carpet mould or rising damp, I had to buy carpet deoderiser to be comfortable with the smell. The light over the table was not working. There were not enough cutlery and crockery for the number of us in the room and we had to get more from the dinning room. The fridge froze our food and leaked.

Complimentary continental breakfast was a bonus. The hot water system badly needs upgrading. Wasted far too much water waiting for it to heat up in the cold weather.

The staff really accommodated us when booking.com stuffed up our booking. They were helpful and fixed the problem straight away. Pool was cold but it was April.

The meals served at this venue did not provide value for money. The continental breakfast was just adequate and no more. We had a cooked breakfast once. The eggs had all gone. The bacon was cold and the mushrooms were coated in something strange. The rooms are very tired but offered the required amenities. Very much two/three stars max.

Had everything we needed including hire cars. Was in walking distance to shops and cafes. Great atmosphere, facilities and breakfast. Had such a great time.
