We stayed one night on our way further east. Hotel was clean and the staff were nice. Parking for the motorbike was easily accessible. The restaurant was good and value for money. nothing

This place was OK, but not great. Unfortunately, I had the ceviche for dinner. It was warm, a clear red flag, but I ate it anyway. Big mistake! Food poisoning resulted. Also, it was blisteringly hot during our stay, and the hotel is NOT air-conditioned. They have no fans. While it did cool off over the night, there are no screens. The room was full of flies by morning.

The hotel is located in the original building of a 15th century convent, so the historical details of the building are very interesting. My room was in the original section, so the room was a little on the small size but very quiet. The shower was a little small but very functional. The bed was comfortable and the room had a water kettle (for instant coffee/tea), mini fridge, and small room safe for valuables. The hotel had a restaurant with breakfast buffet, which was very nice. I did not utilize the spa nor fitness center during my short stay. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The location is also very good, a short walk to the Caen Chateau and Twisto tram station. Very good value for the price. I don't have anything negative to say about the property. Note that there are no elevators, so rooms on the first floor are still up one flight of stairs.

Location was great, food was top notch in the restaurant. Highly recommend the food. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and polite. Room was comfortable and clean. Could hear the Saturday night revellers go by but they moved on.

The two most amazing things about this hotel are its location and its restaurant. It is located steps away from the heart of town, from the castle and other historic sights, and from the university. Its restaurant is outstanding! Superb! The rooms are comfortable. The staff is lovely. A homey environment with a world-class restaurant.

We were really looking forward to going in the jacuzzi and pool but there were three of us and we would have to pay 60e!! Also we had to eat our stale breakfast in the bar rather than the breakfast room. Finally we had to pay for parking.

Location and comfort Parking. This hotel has very little parking spaces. I spent 1 hour driving around to find parking on the street.

Excellent buffet breakfast and very helpful staff. Rooms were very warm. Linens on the bed included a comforter despite 75 deg f in the room. Way too warm a blanket for the conditions.

Location The “double” room is extremely small, and most of the listed square meters are actually taken up by the corridor inside the room. The bed, which is supposed to be a double, is very narrow, making it impossible for two people to rest at all. The carpet in the room is sticky and extremely dirty. The view from the window is just a wall of another building, so the room is always dark.

Everything and spa Nothing

The room is absolutely fantastic; by Paris standards, it would rate as a high 4-star hotel. Trams 1, 2, and 3 stop almost right outside the hotel, along with many buses that can take you to the Memorial Museum or the beach. The castle is right there, and the shopping streets are just minutes away. The bed was very nice and extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed the breakfast, though I admit there is some room for improvement. On the positive side, it featured my favorite type of cheese, delicious potatoes, and a homemade cake that was simply fantastic. There was also a huge selection of honey—which is very important to me—along with various walnut creams. The sweet section was extensive, offering a wide variety of choices. There were also many types of drinks not usually found in other hotels, such as the grape juice that I really liked. There are some negative points where there is room for improvement. The windows are not noise-cancelling, and on several nights, people nearby were shouting loudly. The spa section is too expensive for what it offers; it simply isn’t worth it. During breakfast, the potatoes and cheese often ran out, and the staff did not seem very eager to replace them. I saw four types of cheese in total, all excellent, but one of them appeared only on my last day. The vegetable selection was poor—sometimes there were tomatoes, sometimes not—and that was basically all. At check-in, the staff refused to let me pay in advance, which I did not appreciate. Many things can happen in the meantime, such as a stolen or blocked bank card, and I had my card ready to pay right away when I arrived.

Convenient Parking
-
Location was good, near city center and close to the castle and shops and restaurants. Some members of the staff were friendly but not all. Parking was very expensive, and extremely tight. Breakfast was also quite expensive. There is a fee of 20 euro for the spa every time you go and you can only go for 1,5 euro. This discouraged us a bit. A shame that maybe it is not used so much because of this. The room was definitely not looking like the one on the photos. Much smaller without that space for a deluxe room. The photos are really misleading.
