Location was good. I asked for two single beds and when I arrived, it was only one bed. They said they would make up two single beds for the second night. However, it wasn't done.

This was our 2nd stay at The Best Western in Caen and we thought both visits were excellent.Staff so helpful, rooms clean, carpark easy and convenient. Breakfast good value for money. All in all a pleasant stay Nil to review....All good.

The breakfast was great and there was plenty of choice and good quality. The location is very central to the shipping district and good restaurants. The air-conditioning was appalling. The receptionist didn't tell us that it is controlled centrally, so when we went to cool down the room it would reset to 24 degrees. It was cooler to keep the window open. Given the hotel markets itself as having air conditioning this is a problem. I was unimpressed that the shower over the bath was so low and was positioned that it flooded the floor after a shower. The so called Queen bed was two single beds pushed together. As a couple or meant that it was uncomfortable to sleep together.

Staff were lovely. Location. Breakfast. Dirty bed cover....brown marks. Uncomfy hard lumpy bed and lumpy pillows.....didn't sleep fot 2 nights stay. Door slamming....needs soft close on doors and respect shhhhush signs. My sister had to change rooms as carpet smelt of faeces. The staff obviously knew of this, as they changed her without even seeing it. Not a good stay for either of us. Tbh I was disgusted. Bathroom too small.
