The parking lot, especially its location, is inconvenient. Once I had to walk from that parking lot to my lodge under a heavy rain

Excellent view and attention Everything was clean

The location and a beautiful view of the ocean. It would have been more convenient with more surfaces to put suitcases, cosmetics bag, etc.

I loved being able to open the back door and overlook the nicely manicured grounds to see the ocean. One morning there was a sloth and another afternoon 2 toucans! If I opened the front door, it overlooked the pool, a quiet street, and you could hear howler monkeys and SO many birds! I saw several poison dart frogs and agouti scurrying around. There's so much wildlife to be seen! The location was great. It was a short walk to the stores, restaurants, and park entrance to the National Park. (.75mi to the park) It was less than .5mi to Playa Negra. Walking was easy, not a lot of traffic. Breakfast is included and was really delicious with a nice variety of items and fresh juices & coffee. Each day there was eggs, rice and beans, plantains, waffles, pastries, and sausage in addition to fresh fruits. The pool was clean and has a nice, zero entry. It was clean and not freezing cold! Speaking of clean...the rooms were VERY clean! We sat in the pool one day and could see the staff cleaning the rooms. In addition to the regular stuff (changing linens, sweeping) I saw them pull out the mini fridge and clean behind there, take out the night table and clean that out, after they were done washing the floors they would only go back in and schooch on towels so they wouldn't even leave footprints. They are VERY thorough! What really set this stay apart from others is the staff. They all went above and beyond. Everyone was so kind. Special thanks to Genesis and Jeanette. I wish I had the others' names as well. The ladies serving breakfast also clean the rooms. They work hard and are SO friendly! We had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast was served. However, they offered us coffee and muffins so we got to eat before leaving. How sweet!! They don't offer lunch or dinner but there's lots of walkable options nearby. There's a good place across the street with a happy hour, towards Playa Negra there are several other options. Everything was wonderful!

Location close to Cahuita and restaurants. Very clean. Nice garden and view to the ocean. Pool was cleaned every day. Rooms are sterile and not possible to swim due to corals. Mixed staff, some very friendly, others not so motivated. No hair dryer to borrow from reception. No restaurant or bar service. You can have something delivered. Did not really feel like a hotel. More like a serviced apartment. Air conditioning made an intermittent noise every 4-5 seconds. Not possible to sleep without earplugs.

Great location and all people work there are helpful. I had a great stay at this hotel, but there are a few things that could be improved for a better experience. In the suite with the private ocean view, the area has a thin curtain over the glass window, which doesn’t provide enough privacy since the property is right on the street. A thicker blackout curtain is definitely needed in that area. Additionally, all the lights in the bedroom were white, which didn’t create a warm or cozy atmosphere. While the bedroom itself was excellent, I ended up purchasing a warm lightbulb for one of the lamps to make it feel more inviting. There were also two lamps in the room that required batteries, but no one informed me of this, so I had to ask for assistance. Aside from these minor inconveniences, the hotel was great overall. A few small adjustments could make the stay even more comfortable.

No water the morning of check out. Unable to shower, use toilets or fill out water bottles. Staff made no effort to help. They said they could sell us a bottle of water. For the price of the room maybe they could have given us each a bottle of water!

Location and views were top notch. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a few different options.

The real view of the ocean! Nincs ilyen!

We had room 13, one of the two larger rooms above the breakfast area. The room was spotlessly clean, people are sweeping all the time. It's very pleasant to sit on the back balcony and listen to the ocean while reading a book or having a cocktail. It's an easy walk to town. There's a very good restaurant across the street and a little shack 100 meters down the road serves the BEST coffee in Costa Rica. The staff is responsive and friendly. When the hotel occupancy is low, the excellent breakfast is made to order; when there are more guests, it's a buffet, not nearly as good. This is the best place to stay in Cahuita. Our unit had a kitchen. We quickly learned that we had to keep all food in the refrigerator if we didn't want to get invaded by ants (this is rural Costa Rica, after all), but once we did that we were good. There is a gigantic bath tub in the living/bedroom area. This was a total waste of space, a couple of comfortable chairs or a little sofa and a small table would be much more useful. The drains in the kitchen and bathroom do not have U-bends, so sewer gas can come up into the room. We kept the bathroom door closed and kept the stopper in the kitchen sink and these actions kept the place livable.

Lovely sea views from the terrace, the pool is clean, close to all the restaurants and a short walk to the national park. My bed had no reading light, no window on the sea side.

Location is great, on the sea and close to town. Very nice staff. There were no glasses or cups in the room. The bath tub was 1/2 regular size. Not enough towels in the room.

All together great option for a vaction in the costarican caribean. Nothing.
