The owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout my entire stay. The beach was located across the small street outside the guesthouse. Room was comfortable and clean. Coffee in room. The grounds were beautiful; saw wildlife every day. The pool was exceptionally clean. Beach chairs were handy. The location was quiet and a short walk to town. That I couldn’t stay longer.

The place was absolutely fabulous in every way Nothing

Pillows were not comfortable - they were lumpy in both rooms we stayed in.
-
Location, privacy and nature. It was a great destination for a couple spending time together. we only had two days to enjoy!

Pierre and Marice were great hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. They are also great at pointing out the wildlife, and recommending local places to try. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night in the blue house and two nights in the yellow house. Both were great, but the yellow house has air conditioning which was a big plus for us. All the lodgings are on the property that has a swimming pool, resident sloths in the trees and walks out to the playa Negra beach. Marise and Pierre are great hosts and will set you up with anything you need. They connected us with a snorkeling tour of the Cahuita National Park reef which was fantastic. Cahuita itself is a nice little beach town that is less busy and touristy than Puerto Viejo but still has restaurants, a grocery store and everything you need. Playa Negra is a very calm and relaxing beach and so nice that it’s right outside the front door of this property! Highly recommend.

The owner was super friendly. The house is located in a beautiful garden, basically your own private nature reserve with sloths, birds, frogs, aguri and more.

The garden was wonderful. Several sloths live on the grounds.

Fantastic place with a beautiful garden, plenty of wildlife! The hosts are super welcoming, taking their time to show you around and help spot the animals (sloths, toucans, lizards etc). The pool is also very nice as well as the beach just across the street - it has shade, more sloths and feels safe for kids. We would have happily spent more time there! Everything was just perfect!

Beautiful gardens teeming with wildlife (we saw baby sloth up close!)

Close to the beach. Great location. Beautiful garden. Lots of wildlife
-
very beautiful garden full of sloths, lizards, aguties, birds and other animals. peaceful place. nice pool. hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Was bit too hot to sleep, no air conditioning.

The owners were super friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool are beautiful. The bed is comfortable and the AC worked well, which is important because it’s very hot in the area. We were in the room at the end on the first floor. An upstairs room has a better view from the patio and feels more open. It was hard to operate the shower to get the right temperature and the TV/Netflix didn’t always work.

Beautiful Nothing

The garden, the owners, coffee in the room. Drinks and milk to buy. Very close to the beach. Hard to figure out the hot water for the shower.
-
Lovely location right beside the ocean. Beautiful gardens. Owner was helpful. The vibe of the village was also fun.

The grounds are beautiful and home to several native animals. The room we had was large and comfortable. Our host, Anna, was charming, friendly and helpful. It's an easy walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants. My only complaint is lack of screens on the doors. Note that not all rooms have a/c, and it gets quite hot and humid.

Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning! Nothing negative to report

Its just this amazing garden in a little town called cahuita. You will find sloths, toucans, gutti’s, frogs, hummingbirds and many other beautiful animals just on the premisis alone. The property is really nice and very boutique. We stayed in the yelllow bungalow which was very well equipped All was great.
