I have been returning to Egypt every year for several years. Last year I discovered this hotel which was a great surprise. This year I didn't look for anything else, I returned there...as I will do every year from now on. IT IS THE FIRST HOTEL IN FRONT OF THE PYRAMIDS WHICH IS OVERWHELMING. Waking up in front of the pyramids was extraordinary for us. At the same time, you can see the light and sound show from the balcony or the terrace. wi fi not good

Delicious breakfast with a very special view of the pyramids Nothing

The rooftop view with breakfast or when having a drink at night is practically impossible to beat. The pricing for food and drinks was very fair. They provide many options for excursions and ideas for different visits. The bathroom was miniscule, I could basically shower while sitting on the toilet. My window looked out over an inside square, no views from the room whatsoever. If you want a view you have to specify in booking, most rooms don't have one unlike what the pictures show. Since most time is not spent here though that's not that big of an issue, plus it meant you had less outside noise to deal with in the room so it a bit of a give and take.

    Pleasant

The staff were pleasant. I arrived early, and they allowed me to use a room to freshen up before my morning tour. The view of the pyramids is excellent and the location is convenient. It didn't bother me, but there are several flights of stairs to the reception and roof.

Directly opposite the Sphinx and pyramids. Staff were great! Shower wasn’t great (needs fixing). Water was cold around 9am. Not a biggie when only stay for one night.

Fabulous view overlooking the pyramids. Also quiet!

The view from the room was amazing and although the location of the hotel is not brilliant and the facilities are basic, the view just compensated for everything else and I would definitely go back there Basic hotel

Location near pyramids; friendly personel; good breakfast and dinner; clean room. Good beds.

Right in front of the Sphinx. You definitely get great photos on the balcony and the restaurant terrace. Room was big and comfortable.

The view, location and staff. Will return. Everything was fine for me. With a view like we had, what could I not like?

  • Engine customer Apr 2024

The view from the roof is breathtaking. You cannot get a better view of the Pyramids. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a room with a view of the Pyramids and when we arrived they told that for first night the room was not available. But I have to say that to make up for this they gave us a room with a balcony for our second night.

  • Engine customer Apr 2024

The view from the rooftop was indeed very nice. The location is very close to the Giza Pyramids entrance. We reserved a deluxe room with pyramids view, but we were given a very small room with no view (wall of the neighbor). When we checked in, they asked us to pay full in cash (they said their credit card machine was not working), then showed us the room which was not what we booked. They refused to refund any money (they already got the cash), and said it's not their fault(?).

Fab views from the rooftop bar Hotel is on the top floor of the building with no lift. We’d almost carried our suitcases bro the top before assistance was offered The expensive pyramid facing balcony room doesn’t directly face the pyramids so we spent most time on the roof where the view was excellent

Nothing. Avoid at all cost. Do not stay here. I've travelled quite a bit around the world and stayed in all sorts of accommodation from 5 star hotels to back packing in tiny hostels in the desert. And this is the worst accommodation experience I've ever had. You may think it would be good waking up with the view of the pyramids, but this place is one big scam and should be removed from this website. - They didn't meet us at the airport for pick up and lied about someone looking for us. It was 1Am in the morning and they put us in a really bad/dangerous situation. - No wifi. They said that's normal everywhere in Egypt but that's not true because we had wifi at other hotels. Then they told us we had to buy Egyptian sim cards from them. We had no choice but to agree and they took more money from us. - We were asked to participate in a crypto currency scam in exchange for egyptian pounds. - Hotel stairs smelt like cat urine. - The room was next to where staff organised things. Loud noises into our room all night and got no sleep. - When we tried to leave in the morning there was no 24/7 desk for guest. They said they organised a taxi and took our money but never booked it. - Water leaking from toilet onto floor. - Hot water system wasn't working until we had to ask for it. - No safe for belongings. - Other guests said they were promised pyramid view rooms only to find out they were forced to take other rooms with no view.

We were so surprised and excited with the view from our room. We walked around freely and have a wonderful dinner at the local restaurant. Love this place so much. Definitely will come back again.

Location and view, that's all. Note that although there's an entrance to the pyramids near the hotel for entering by foot, BUT if you are entering by car (like we did), be aware it's still a 15 min drive to the other entrance. For convenience, we arranged airport pickup through the hotel (USD 25 - more than Uber), and this was still fine. However, the red flags started during our check-in. FYI - we stayed 1 night: USD 136 for a "deluxe" double room with view. Almost double the price of competitors with similar view. Red flag #1: Before our trip, we booked a day tour (Pyramids + Cairo Museum) through the hotel. We emailed the hotel to check if the guide can drop us at Cairo train station (just a 10 mins drive from the Museum) after the tour, and they said yes. During check-in however, the owner (Hany?) wanted to charge us extra USD 25 for this "extra service", which was NOT highlighted to us upfront at all. After I told him the station is literally just 10 mins drive from the Museum (instead of having to drive us 1 hour back to the hotel), he made up some bs about leaving luggage in the car, and still charged us USD 15. Red flag #2: The owner was extremely eager to change USD into EGP for us. So that we would change more money with him, he blatantly lied to us that all attractions ONLY accept EGP in CASH, but not to worry, as he can change EGP for us at official market rates (1 USD: 30 EGP). However, we found out the next day that all attractions only accept Credit Cards, and were stuck with excess EGP cash. It gets better: the next day while waiting for our guide, the porter offered to change 1 USD: 40 EGP for us, which we declined. It was all rather puzzling until we later learnt from other tourists that there is actually a black market where they can change 1 USD: 50 EGP!! Red flag #3: Speaking of attractions, the day tour did NOT include any entrance fees, and we had to pay everything ourselves (with credit card, of course). Again, this was NOT highlighted to us upfront at all. PERHAPS THE BIGGEST RED FLAG IS THEY HAVE NOW REMOVED THEIR PREVIOUS BOOKING.COM LISTING AND HAVE RE-LISTED IT WITH JUST 4 REVIEWS (ALL WITH PERFECT 10 SCORES, SURPRISE SURPRISE!).

If you are looking for a room with the view of the pyramids and sphinx, then make sure to ask for the west side of the building. I would strongly recommend Booking .Com to vet on the properties that you put on your website, afterall, even with all the disclaimers, you are still, in bed and doing business with these properties. There is something to be said about staying in a reputable hotel that provide tours for Cairo. Most people are polite and dont want to go into details about their experience in a public forum. But to whoever reads this review, READ BETWEEN THE LINES of what im writing.
