Aparthotel Tropicana

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, just a short walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants, making it a convenient base for exploring Cala Millor. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive, contributing to a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and serviced daily. However, the décor and furnishings are somewhat dated, and the rooms would benefit from modernization and refurbishment to meet current standards. The pool area was well maintained and offered plenty of sun loungers for guests. The entertainment team was enthusiastic and dedicated, providing a variety of activities suitable for both adults and children. The food selection was good, particularly at breakfast, with a wide range of options to suit different tastes. Although some dinner dishes could have been served warmer and the variety was occasionally limited, there was always enough choice to enjoy a satisfying meal. The chefs were attentive, hardworking, and always willing to accommodate guests whenever possible. The rooms would benefit from refurbishment and modernization to provide a more contemporary and comfortable experience. The two swimming pools are well maintained; however, they can feel quite small during busy periods given the number of guests staying at the hotel.

I'd say the hotel gets an extra point just for having Alejandro there, he was very helpful and took his time to explain to us which are the best beatches and places to visit but also helped us when we needed a doctor. You can rent bikes, get free beach towels, evening activities for the kids (this could be improvrd a bit). The hotel doesn't have a parking per se, but you can park anywhere around it and there were plenty of spaces regardless of the time we arrived. The main issue is that the property looks poorly maintained. The hallway window blinds are broken, giving the place a deserted, horror-movie vibe. We also noticed ants throughout the hotel, even on the fourth floor where we stayed. The room and the hotel overall would benefit from a refresh.

Small hotel, easy to get sunbeds etc. staff very nice Ac didn’t work for 2 nights (half our stay). Moved to another room after multiple failed attempts to fix it, ac still wasn’t great.

The staff was super friendly, receptionists, restaurant staff, and cleaners. We asked for a baby high chair to bring in our room, and the ladies from the restaurant brought it straight away. It's apartment type, with sitting room, dinning table, kettle, fridge, it was really handy with a child. Cleaned every day. The location is really good, close to everything. The food wasn't great, breakfast was the same every morning, we went twice for lunch and it was bad, and dinner was the best of all three, quite a good variety of foods, desserts, different every evening. Old furniture but it was exactly as in the photos so can't complain.

Spacious room and excellent food

The staff in the bar was friendly and smiling all the time. Only one thing I want to remember. Old school design, the wood and green sofas don't fit to grey floors and white walls. The food was poor. If you are first, you might be lucky to get a prawn in paella. If you come 1 hour after opening, you won't even get a rice. Same thing every day. Poor choices. Very disappointing. Too far to the beach. The path is between old private buildings, bins, etc. I don't recommend.

Disappointing

Very friendly staff. The first night was very noisy so second day we have changed room. As compensation the staff offere us late check out. We did not use it but it was a nice offer. Food is oke a lot of choice but for us a bit to much sugar and oily :-) To many people it is a big hotel, 4 blocks :-) And we were there on low season, i don't wanne imagine how it is there in july or august :D

Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Every day the room was cleaned thoroughly. Food is not great. Cleanliness was poor at the restaurant, the staff working there needs to be better trained to avoid some unhealthy habits.

Superb

Hotel was made up of separate blocks but close together. We stayed in the one that had the snooker and table tennis tables with it's own pool which was closed off the whole time we were there due to it needing cleaned which was a bit annoying. Rooms are spotlessly clean and a good size although basic and slightly dated but bathrooms are modern and come with a hairdryer. We used the other pool at the bar across the road, drinks and cocktails were good, bar staff were nice and friendly. Although you get a wi-fi password from receptioni it didn't work great.. Some children's entertainment but not much for adults. The dining room is clean and the staff are always working hard but there are notices on alot of the tables that you can't sit there and as a group of 12 when we could manage to get one of the 2 big tables half the chairs on one side were right up against the wall so it was a hassle to get out and in, that's fine if you are being served but not for self service buffet. Food was plentiful and you could always find something, nice touch with the beer and wine taps. Shops were a 5/10 minute walk away depending where you were going. Aldi close by. The lovely beach is a 10 minute walk away but it was very busy with a hire fee of €14 for 2 sunbeds and a canopy which if you were going their for a full day was good. There are glass bottom boat trips for around €45 and jet skiing €100 for 25 mins or €175 for the sunset tour that lasts around 1 1/2 hours which someone in our group went on and said it was amazing., The pedal boat hire was closed for the season. Transfer to and from airport is over an hour maybe longer in heavy traffic. WiFi poor.

Breakfast was great more variety tasty Tea bags need to change should prefer to use English Breakfast tea

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our flight was really late but still they let us use facilities until we leave the hotel. Cleaning service was very quick - we would leave for breakfast and our room was cleaned straight after. Food was good but breakfasts could be a little bit better. Great location. Room was very big and on the ground floor so very close to the bar straight from our patio. Bed was really uncomfortable. We were waking up with back pain every morning ?

Really clean, nice variety of food at each meal and our daughter absolutely loved the "kid's disco" led by Jordy every evening. We were very happy with our stay, maybe the entertainment offered to adults could have been improved

Great value for money. Food was good as we opted for all inclusive.? Rooms a bit old.

Large rooms, we had a balcony suite! Great service by friendly staff who offered efficient service with a smile! Good selection of food. Plenty of sun beds. Nice size pool, has separate kiddies part of the pool. It’s in a good location as only a short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. Enjoyed the nightly entertainment at the hotel, they have a great entertainment team! Nothing, we were very pleased and satisfied with this hotel.
