So My Resort

stay at the So My resort Calangute. 2nd time staying. Lovely clean hotel with a very comfortable king-size bed. Separate dressing room with wardrobe and drawers for clothes plus a fan and clothes dry rack. Small fridge. Fresh purified jugs of water plus 2 bottled water left each day. A fabulous swimming pool. Stayed B & B. Lovely choices of food for breakfast and other meals taken also proved delicious. All members of staff at the hotel were very kind & helpful, and always with a smile. Will definitely stay again. Liked everything.

Ambience, food quality, staff behaviour, they even upgraded our room to suite without any extra charge..!!

We loved the pool area. The extra room/wardrobe within the room was fantastic. Nice balcony too. On the last night other guests woke us up at 3am playing loud music, they were screaming and shouting and banging doors until 6am!! We asked them to be quiet first but they didn't listen. We then got reception to speak with them - again they didn't listen. Finally at 05.30 security came and threatened to kick them out. Only then did they stop. It was a horrible night's sleep for us. The staff on the night shift were great and extremely apologetic. I understand it wasn't their fault. But sadly this was our experience of the hotel. The restaurant food isn't great, we both felt a bit ill afterwards. I was sick that same night and this was the night we were kept up so not a great experience overall.

We've stayed many times, that just about says it all, the staff are fantastic, they remember you and make you feel at home from the first minute. Keep up the good work, see you next season.

Always a great stay at Somy Plaza. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are great. Swimming pool is lovely. What more can I say, it was an excellent holiday.

Reception staff very attentive and call you to see if there’s anything they can do. Breakfast very good Waiting staff were good Room boy, very good felt that my belongings are safe. Paid extra for a ground floor pool view but couldn’t see the pool for all the shrubbery, which attracted mosquitoes, so never could use the balcony

The rooms are plenty big enough and the air con/ fans work well which is a must. The staff need to manage the reserving of beds better. Quite often the beds would have towels on for hours completely unoccupied. Obviously this is typical English tourist behaviour, but there was a few times we couldn’t get a bed even though they were technically free/reserved

Hotel prepared nice breakfast for me to take away as I was leaving before breakfast opening time everyday for scuba diving. Nice room-service and pizzas. Proposing activities every evening at the restaurant (traditional music, karaoke, live music, etc.) Music from animation in the evening is too loud and can be heard from far away.

It was our second visit here. You can't fault the place ❤️

Everyone was so friendly and helpful, always with a smile from the security guard, to the waiters,waitress and the manager Paul. Rooms comfy and large, food lovely, staff superb. Nothing
