Nothing I liked I did not stay at the property since my room was allotted at 6th floor which was newly made and room was smelling with paint and spirit , I was travelling with my 1 year baby which was as not possible to stay 5 mins inside the room, I was shifted to another hotel of same property owner but it was a downgraded property

Nothing. Just the humbleness of the security guard. I stayed at Stayotel hotel in dumdum, kolkata for a few days and it was the worst decision of my life. The staff were unprofessional and rude beyond belief. When we first arrived, we had to wait for 30 minutes outside because nobody was coming to take our luggage, even after we told the front desk about it. The front office was probably operated by local low-class people who had no idea how a front office works. We booked this hotel from booking.com only for one reason: this place was close to one of our relatives. Despite having bad experiences, we still wanted to stay two more days and we let them know two days prior to our checkout day that we wanted to extend our stay. We also reminded them one night before. The following morning at 11 am, they told us, "Sir, you have to check out in 30 minutes!" It was a shocking experience. Apparently, they didn't do anything to extend our stay. There was no communication between front office staff. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who has previously lived in a decent hotel with a decent staff. It's really difficult for someone to live in a hotel with uneducated front office. The only good thing about the hotel was the security guard. He seemed much more capable of running the front office than the ones who were currently working. He was the only person who treated us with respect and kindness. He was the only reason why we didn't leave the hotel earlier. This hotel is a nightmare. Stay away from it. It is a scam and a trap. You will regret staying here. There are many better options in kolkata. Don't let this hotel ruin your trip and your mood. Stayotel hotel in dumdum, kolkata is the worst hotel ever.

Location is awesome if you want a place near to airport The reception tried to charge more for a Taxi to Airport. The normal charges for Ola/Uber range from Rs. 150-200 but hotel offered a shuttle for Rs.600 which is 3-4 times the normal charges.
