Moonstone Landing

The location was perfect, the breakfast was pretty basic, hard boiled eggs, some fruit etc,. The hot tub was nice but the bed was hard and the pillows, will the pillows were 3 small pillows seem like half size of a standard pillow with no fluff very flat it was like not having a pillow at all. Very disappointing and uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel and great location on the coast. Breakfast is more of a continental style (pastries, coffee, tea). Close access to Route 1 and Hearst Castle. Definitely recommend.

The property is a 3 star property. It was clean, but there is no air-conditioning ( there heat but no cooling), so the rooms are stuffy unless you open the windows on the parking lot and road side of the building. The staff consisted of one young lady who was the front desk person ( until 7:30pm at night, then no one), the maintenance person and breakfast server. Other than two housekeeping personnel, the only person on the staff. My guess is all the properties on Moonshot Beach Road are run the same way. So don’t pay attention to people who give these properties 4, or please, not 5 stars. They will suffice for one night at an interesting part of the Big Sur, but that’s it.

Our stay was amazing. We stayed for one night and the partial view was great, the surrounding area was beautiful and the staff were super friendly. Note, there is no air conditioning in the rooms which we didn’t know until we showed up so it was pretty hot and uncomfortable in that sense. That’s the only reason for the 4 star review.

Super clean room. Quiet and comfortable. Not many amenities on site though (e.g., no seating area in the front of the resort with ocean view like some other properties on the street). Ample and convenient parking with no extra charge.

Monson Landing is a great place to stay. The room was very spacious and had an ocean view. It is right next to the beach so you can walk along the beach and several restaurants are nearby.

Great location! Perfect place to relax and watch the sunsets each night.

Always love our stay at Moonstone Landing. It's cozy, clean, hospitable and love the location directly across from the beach.

We checked in very late, but everything was ready. The room was very clean and well-maintained. I recommend it—everything was top-notch.

Overall, the hotel was good, but the only downside was that the room had no air conditioning.

I usually have a hard time falling/staying asleep at any hotels because they tend to have the most uncomfortable pillows and beddings, but I slept comfortably throughout the night here. The bed and pillows were perfect for me. We had a partial ocean view and it was lovely. With a table next to the window, we were able to have dinner with a nice view plus amazing weather. We slept with the window opened and it was lovely. All the staff we encountered were friendly. If you have a big car, just be mindful that parking might feel a bit tight but not impossible to get out from. I really had no complaints. We had an absolutely amazing time and plan to come here again.

The King Bed was Very Comfortable and the Oceanfront View was Amazing!! We'll be looking forward to our next stay!!

Some of staff members are nice and accommodating Initially got the room with only one night stand and was literally no room to safely get out from bed on the other side for my husband, they said all rooms are like that, which was not true, we stayed in this hotel probably 19 times in the past and never had this issue. They agreed although to move us to another room the next day, which was nice
