There was only one microwave on the property and it was in a rec-room quite a ways from our room.

I felt like our room needed some extra cleaning (vacuuming better, cobwebs and our bathroom screen was disgustingly filthy). Was disappointed that our shear curtains were missing on the front window, and as our room was warm you couldn't get outside air from the window without everyone looking straight into your room. Brie was very helpful by getting us a fan. The property was very clean and we always had an open parking space. The bed was very comfortable! We have been coming here every August for the past 13 years and as we're getting older I'm realizing the toilets are very low to the ground. I do love Ocean Pointe Ranch and highly recommend!

I love this place in the location is perfect, especially if you have pets. Plenty of grassy area for your fur babies to enjoy and directly across the street from the ocean with easy access. The rooms are plenty spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It’s a quick six minute drive to the little main street of Cambria. That’s my second time staying here and I will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here! While the room was a simple two queen arrangement, the hotel property offered great family friendly amenities. The lawn with games and fire pits was excellent. We brought our own supplies to make s’mores each night. There was also a game room with a water station, tv and shuffle board. The pool was clean and not crowded. Parking was easy and the location was great! Only wish they could install an EV charger as there are not many in town.

Beautiful location, however there was a wedding on the premises the night we arrived. Parking lot was full. And then we had to hear loud music late into the night. When I called the front desk to ask about the wedding, staff gave me attitude, saying "They are a well known wedding venue on the central coast." As though I should have known this when I booked the hotel. Paying 350$ for a Friday night just to hear a wedding and not have access to the coastal path advertised online "as the hotel's" (the wedding security said we couldn't use it) felt like false advertising and poor managing. And then to have staff be condescending when I was asking about when the music would stop was rather insulting.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is a little left field, a little prickly. They have games on the grounds, like shuffle board, but the games are not well maintained.

Beautiful and best place to stay in the area!

Location is gorgeous and our time around the fire pits was priceless. Wished cow tipper had longer hours. Walkable eateries are limited.

Clean room. The shower is small and had way too much water pressure.

When we returned, the receptionist told us she could not find our Expedia reservation and that the room we had confirmed and paid for—two queen beds for a family of four—was not available. Her “solution” was to offer us a room with ONE king bed and some blankets. Were our children supposed to sleep on the floor? Even more concerning, she admitted they had been having problems with their system and that ours was not the first reservation they had overbooked. So this was apparently not an isolated incident. A confirmed reservation at this hotel clearly does not guarantee that you will actually have a room when you arrive. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, the receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive and kept blaming us for booking through Expedia because it was a “third -party” reservation. We ultimately had to cancel and find another hotel at the last minute, late in the evening, with two children. Completely unreliable and unacceptable customer service. If you book here, be aware that even a confirmed reservation may not mean you actually have a room waiting for you.

Exterior looks nice; well manicured with nice fire pits and hangout spots. There is plenty of parking. Personally would not stay here again.

Good site in easy walk to beach, but across a small road. Outdoor had excellent fire pits and seating. Room was cold at night but bed covers solved this. The adjacent breakfast bar was limited withought table service.

The hotel itself was decent. Our biggest issue was the receptionist at check in. She was very rude and not sure if she was having a bad day but she had a horrible attitude. Disrespectful responses to questions like she didn’t want to be bothered. They were out of pool towels and she basically summed it up like “oh well”… No other options, like “let me grab you some regular towels”. She was sure to hit her vape whenever she got a chance though!

The room was spacious and clean, albeit with older, darker decor. Bathroom had been updated with strong water pressure in shower and excellent liquid soaps, shampoo, conditioner. Towels thick and sweet smelling. Front desk staff was accommodating in fulfilling requests for more towels, coffee and tea, and even splitting the hotel bill amongst my fellow travelers. Bed was very comfortable with soft sheets, a weighted comforter and many pillows. My room had 2 floor lamps and a nightstand light. It was adequate, but with the dark decor and our "older eyes", we still needed to turn on the tv to see better. Lots of parking and an expansive lawn area for dogs to run & children to play. Also, they provided enough outside activities (firepits w/reclining chairs, lawn games such as corn hole, etc.) and inside activities (game room with pool table, table shuffle board, foosball, scrabble, etc.) to engage the whole family. Ideal location for a walk to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Breakfast very easy with a restaurant (only open for breakfast) next door. No air conditioning, but an unheated pool provides an easy cool down. Great place for families and people traveling with dogs.

Great stay and lovely property! Rooms were updated and clean.

We act did not end up staying here as there was nobody at the front desk when we arrived. The hotel looked cute but is much smaller and much more like a motel than expected. Every room I saw faced the parking lot and didn’t feel very secure or private.

Fun area, with a great restaurant next door! My kids want to come back! My only complaint is that we didn’t use our patio at all because it was such an eyesore. The front of the property is so cute. Just need to finish the back!

Only wish they had air conditioning or fans. Other than that, it was pretty good
