The Amrit Goa

This was a beautiful oasis located close to beach and the town. The owners and staff were lovely. I feel lucky that we found this place. It was really special. Nothing, everything was perfect

The staff were personable, welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast was always delicious with many choices and excellent, attentive service.

It is in a very quiet location, but just 10 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the busy streets of Candolim. The garden is beautiful and very well kept. The swimming pool is clean and of a good size. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are just few rooms, and they are very nicely furbished and clean. Breakfast was ok, there was always a choice between English, Continental or Indian, all were freshly made, but I would have appreciated fresh fruit in the offer. I highly recommend this hotel and would like to go back! Few things could be, however, improved. The WiFi was very bad, basically hardly working. The water pressure in the shower was weak, especially when turning on the hot water. In the room there were not enough plugs, in the sense that they were all occupied by bed sidelights, TV, kettle or other appliances, so for recharging my phone or computer I had to unplug something, because in the whole room there was not a free one.

Situated between the main market and the beach, this property is a breath of fresh air- renovated monastery and excellent spacious rooms, very personal touch from the owner Ritu. I will definitely be going there again. Swimming pool is nice. The roads leading to property are narrow but cabs are able to reach inside the property.

Beautiful buildings in a very peaceful spot. Clean pool and super personable staff/hosts. Kind enough to make us breakfast a little earlier than normal before our flight! AC was quite noisy, but did work! The bed was too firm for us.

This is a B&B not a hotel. staff were friendly. The pool was lovely. Location was super quiet yet just a 10min walk to the beach. 5 mins from main drag for food/drink not beachfront. Mattress a bit to firm for my liking. The mothballs in the bathroom meant the smell was throughout the whole room. we had to wash clean clothes back home . No bar at the pool.

Amrit is an Oasis ,in the otherwise busy Candolim.The best part of the Boutique Homestay is that it is very close to the beach and the street ,with lots of shacks,cafés ,bars n resturuants. The location is brilliant. The rooms are clean,comfortable n spacious . Detailed interest is taken by the staff n owners to maintain it well. The swimming pool is one of the cleanest we’ve had. Breakfast is fresh n delicious,it’s a welcome change when you are eating most meals in resturuants,one does crave for a homemade breakfast to start the day. Nothing really

Efficient check-in friendly staff Cat and AJ. Welcomed us. Cat sent me restruant suggestions, which was much appreciated. Staff organised my taxi to and from the airport. Owners lovely, too. Ritu and her husband checked in daily with us, too. They had been to Scotland too, so we chatted about this.! Beautiful place to stay in Goa. Lovely quiet location, just what was needed afteŕ tour of india and being in delhi. The owners explained that the property was constructed from a refurbished 300 year old Jesuit Monastery. Very well done with lovely gardens and a pool Lovely quiet location and close to the beach. (Approx 5 min walk).I would say a nicer part of the beach quieter. Rooms large and comfortable high ceilings and beams cleaned daily had good Ac and a fan .TV and fridge also. Shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast included. No dislikes, only a suggestion Bed slightly firm and fresh orange juice or fruit would be nice at breakfast, but we were always offered extra toast.

A friendly family run resort. Everyone was very helpful & welcoming. Food was tasty & if you needed anything there was always someone to help. Special thanks to Ritu Catherine not forgetting Ajay.

Friendly staff - helps you a lot with planning things, taxi, etc. They do everything to make you feel comfortable, again a big thanks! Nice swimming pool, the room was very comfortable. The property is very clean and very beautiful! For Indian standards this stay is overpriced, breakfast was disappointing (again, for the price you pay), the bed was too hard for me personally. There is probably a good reason for it, but they put urinal blocks in the sink, shower drain, ... Consequently the room smelled like this.

This place is a very good choice if you want to enjoy a peaceful environment in Goa, very quiet still, close to the beach and restaurants. It is far from the noisy big hotels of this area, so you will enjoy your time.Our only request to them is to improve the breakfast. Choice is very limited, no fruits, no pastries, really basic and start officially from 9am, which was very late from. In summary it is still a good choice.

The location war very good . Tranquil , yet only 5 minutes from the Main Street of 5 minutes the other way to the beach. The property was charming and comfortable

The whole team at the Amrit are lovely and very accommodating. We have been here for four weeks and nothing is too much trouble. Our room is large and airy and is in keeping with the property which has been converted from a Monastery. It is set in nice gardens with a lovely pool and is a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main Candolim road. An easy flat walk to bars and restaurants of which there are too many to count. The breakfast menu is a limited one, it changes a few times a week but there is always an Indian and Egg selection as well as pancakes and yoghurt and muesli on other days. It’s served hot to order and always with a smile from RJ. The beach is a short walk away and is a quieter part of the beach which suited us much more. Our only criticism was that our bed was really too hard and uncomfortable but when we mentioned this Ritu ordered us a mattress topper which helped a lot. What gives the Amrit its high rating on this site is without doubt the owners and staff, special mention to Catherine who is amazing, always offering suggestions for restaurants and giving tips and advice on places to go and things to do and the location being peaceful and away from it all. We missed a comfortable place to sit and chill. As is typical in Goan houses soft furnishings are not a thing. Most people visiting are usually a two or three night stay so won’t be affected but as we were there for a long period it would have been nice.

Everything was beautifully built, all details were thought of. A quiet garden, and the very clean and nice pool. Nice breakfast. The bed in our room was very hard!

10\10 for location , rooms and staff An improvement would be soft seating in the rooms and umbrellas at the pool. Breakfast choice was limited but acceptable.

Friendly helpful staff in a quiet location, but still close to beach, bars and restaurants. Nothing really. I guess some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, and wifi (whilst fast enough) was too unstable for video calls.9

The location was superb, close enough to the also hustle & bustle of the town for good food & shopping but far enough away for peace and Tranquility. An oasis of calm. The pool was perfect too. Super clean throughout. Our stay wasn’t long enough.
