Wingate by Wyndham Canton/Hall of Fame

The staff was extremely rude. At first he was OK when we checked in after we checked in. I waited on my two youngest to get dropped off after they got dropped off the Man in the lobby was extremely rude and yelled at us to be quiet because he was, “on the phone”. My kids weren’t loud.. We took a luggage carrier down to the room and kept it because we were told that there was a possibility we could be moved because of the false narration that they give when it comes to their room suites I never heard back as far as switching the room. During this time, my kids got dressed to go to the pool and I went down to supervise them during this time. A staff member comes down to the pool room to rudely. Tell me that I had one of the luggage carriers and that he had guests waiting and I needed to hurry up and get it for him.. That pissed me off so bad to be talked to like that in front of my children. Then one of the other staff members saw my 15-year-old walking down the hallway and told him that he better be quiet because they’ve already gotten a noise complaint that is impossible when that young man was by himself with headphones in walking down the hallway. I tried to get in contact with management and the midnight staff informed me that he was just sorry about what I experienced and did not say anything about management… on top of all of this the room was absolutely disgusting. The pool was disgusting. There were dogs in the hotel that were loud. It was just a terrible experience….

Comfortable clean and location

Under construction. Room smelled like mold. The ceiling over bed was peeling. The pool was disgusting. Was supposed to stay 4 nights left after one.

Great ,clean room,good staff,did not need air,plenty of parking space.

Affordable and great location, but poor water pressure in the shower with NO F###### HOT WATER! Also, there were cigarette butts in the elevator, the halls stunk like weed, no vending machines worked, and they had a poorly stocked cooler in reception with no sugar-free options.

The bed was comfortable It was very old and needs updated extremely bad. It was not clean. The carpet was filthy. There was a drill seatbelt screaming at 850 am that the breakfast was ending. The bathtub was shaped weird where someone can easily fall. Did not like the patrician between the beds. I would not stay here again. The price was way too high for the accommodations.

Parking lot was dirty and not monitored. No one answered the desk phone when noise complaints kept people awake from 12-4 am.

Let’s start with the positives. The location of the property is excellent, close to many restaurants, shopping & just a 15 minute drive to the Hall of Fame stadium. However, the property is also really, really old. While the staff were doing their best to keep it clean, the carpets, elevators, etc. all had an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the exterior had falling bricks from the carport which was extremely dangerous. Frankly, I’m shocked that Windham would associate its name with this property.

The parking lot of this hotel is in serious need of repairs. Watch out for potholes as they may swallow your vehicle. The hotel itself was clean and the king suite was nice with a seating area mini fridge and microwave all included. The bathroom was very tiny with only a shower and toilet inside. The sink and vanity was out in the actual room. Free breakfast from 6 til 9. On the whole a decent room for the price

The TV was static most the stay and completely stopped working our last night. The refrigerator couldn't close after opening one time. There's a smell throughout the whole hotel and gets worse the closer you get to the first floor. We called in regarding a late checkout and the manager almost walked in about 1 hour ½ after the original time of check but was stopped due to the latched which he had then knocked on the door. The person who had booked the room was in the shower and I told him we were leaving after that person gets out the shower. He's telling us we couldn't stay longer because it was just a question about the late checkout instead of a conversation which there was a conversation regarding payment and was demanding we pay or he was coming back in 5 minutes. He wasnt the person they had spoke to about it either. Which i explained to him again that the person who booked the room was in the shower and they will be down when they are dressed. Management was very rude, bathroom smelled like a portal potty, the floor felt like it had bubbles in them- very uneven, the toilet and a/c whistled and hummed every use, the carpets are so dirty you couldnt roll your luggage on them- it was a struggle, and the vending machine and ice machine did not work at all. Construction work was very visible throughout the hotel. Only this thing was the shower was hot. Would not recommend for anyone

The website is misleading. They do not have a hot tub and the property is not maintained at all. I didn’t even have a working phone in my room. The shower was horrible and difficult to operate. It took 20 minutes to get hot water. The list goes on and on.I do not recommend it at all. Motel 6 is better place to stay than here.

I expected better. One drawer of a chest kept sliding open. Carpet in hallway was very old. Every soda machine around my room had ‘Out of Order’ signs. The best compliment I can give it is I’ve stayed in worse.

Room was dirty and not vacuumed, sheets were stained, no replacement of tissue, TV didn’t work, trash cans were over flowing on all hallway floors, parking lot was covered in trash.

It’s a place to sleep, don’t get your hopes up for much more than that. Once ice machine in the entire building (first floor). The fitness room is a tiny room with a treadmill, elliptical, and stair stepper. And the hot tub was broken

It was near the HOF festivities The amenities are out dated. Hallway was very dark . There was an odor in the halls likely from old capet. We left a day early. Not pleased.

The bathroom was too small and their shower head alongside with the drain was not working properly. The entire room of the hotel was very small and wasn’t very adequate for me and my family

Building is old, carpets are old and dingy, ceilings were water stained and cracking. Showers are old and bathrooms are really small, but the water is hot and the pressure is good. Beds were clean and soft.Most vending machines were out of order. I did didn’t use the pool. Breakfast was good.

Bed was comfortable.

The location. Water in this room was luke warm at best. Not a great shower experience. Something heavy had been dropped in the sink so it was cracked. One of the lights in the shower area was missing its lense. Ceiling was flaking off. Maybe some mold at the base of the shower. Bed was clean though which was a plus.
