What you see online is NOT what we experienced. The photos make this hotel look bright, airy, modern, and like a nice beach resort. Our room was the complete opposite—dark, outdated, peeling walls, 90s decor, and more like a motel than a beach resort. I booked through Expedia and will own that I didn’t realize the room was 1 queen bed + 1 sofa bed. That may have been my oversight. The room's condition, however, was a completely different issue. Our room was by an exit, and the walls were paper thin. We heard everything, including people outside and toilets flushing from the floor above. The bed was next to the door, there was no deadbolt, the bed was uncomfortable, and the sofa bed was even worse. Scratchy linens, cheap towels, barely any space to unpack. The room also didn’t feel clean. Sand was left on the floor from previous guests—so much that we put towels down to walk around. We were charged $50 for “early check-in” even though we only wanted beach towels and tags. The beach service was the only positive. Yes, it’s beachfront, and Harry’s is right there, but that doesn’t make up for the room. I called about switching rooms, but they couldn’t accommodate us. The reservation was non-refundable. I’ve never checked out so early in my life. Shame on me for only looking at the 4.5 overall rating. Read the recent reviews. If you’re used to nice hotels, this is not it.

Firstly, the staff were very pleasant . The hotel is clean. Our view was amazing. We liked the fact that we could have breakfast and lunch right at the hotel and there was a beach waitress where you could order lunch and didn't have to leave to eat.

Great location across from the beach, has a pool and restaurant attached! All amazing! Staff was very nice!

Expedia and hotel shared pictures of a room with balcony with amazing views and looking like new but when I got there I was placed behind the bar with no view or privacy and near to the trash area. And the price paid was absurd for this room. hotel blamed Expedia for misinformation and for not having the right pictures into the site. Shame! Shame!

It is way overpriced at peak season and they charge extra for every little thing. The room did not feel that clean. Needs maintenance too. Cracks in the sink countertop and we found hair in the couch. Felt gross. The building needs to be maintained better too. Tape on the floor in the hallway you could trip on. The pool was dirty too and not vacuumed. It is so loud at night due to the restaurant and we weren’t even on the ground floor. It stayed loud with kids until after 12 am when quiet hours were supposed to be much earlier. They offer transportation downtown but it is limited and you have to wait awhile. For the price and amount of people, should offer more accommodations for that. We paid extra to check in early and paid for a beach cabana. We witnessed people around 3 pm not paying for the beach cabanas and using them when we paid a lot for it until at least 5 when the staff cleans up. We addressed all of this to the staff while there and they did nothing and in the feedback for someone to reach out and no one did. Unprofessional!!

What i like about the place is the cleanliness of the place , the beach staff & the hotel staff were accommodating. What i didn’t like was we were near the bar and we can’t stay at the veranda to sit down and enjoy the beach view. We can’t open the curtain because we need privacy.

The room was updated and very clean. We had everything we needed and the air conditioning worked well. We were a little put out by the noise of people outside our door. The small patio was fantastic. The restaurant on property is fun too.

The room was clean, even on the ground level it felt private because the bed/sleeping area were in the back of the room. You cannot beat the location and all the included amenities.

Amazing ocean view, clean room, and helpful staff. Such a great place to stay if you want to be close to the beach.

We had a great time at the Montreal Resort. Harry’s Bar and the dueling pianos were a blast! The room was pricey and free coffee in the morning would have been a nice offering.
