The hotel was beautiful with great friendly staff that greets you at every corner. The breakfast was very delicious with a lot of different options.

The breakfast was excellent. The view from our room was stunning. We loved the availability of the shuttle to the waterfront. The availability of parking for our car was convenient. Staff was helpful. Staff should inform us about the aircon control in our room 1510.

The property majestic yet cozy, grand yet small. the staff was amazing, welcoming, friendly more that willing to help. Breakfast was the best and I have to say that I love the waiters and waitresses. Well, the water pressure for our toilet was not strong enough. I had to flush a few times. It was a bit annoying and I did not like that the cleaning staff closed the sink. I hated touching something I spit in. But these were not bad things.

The breakfast had a good amount of choice but the staff attitude was inacceptable...they were extremely slow, rude, careless, walking around and not doing really anything. The buffet at the restaurant was awful, fish was cooked for 3 days, dry, beef had been cooked and recooked and we still paid a huge amount of money for such a poor food quality. We did not sleep for 3 nights due to air con pipe issues...it was a terrible water noise non stop, like a river flowing in your rooms in the all the rooms in all the floors..the hotel manager has not been able to fix anything, he was not even able to change us room. He was trying to find excuses but did not even made a gesture for accomodating us in such a terrible way. This is definitely not a 5 stars hotel... and I do not understand how they can be rated exceptional in booking! The service is very poor, the staff is not doing their job..you have maybe 10 employees in the lobby reception laughing between themselves but not professional at all...clearly there is a management issue...I will never recomend the Cullinan in Cape Town. It is the worst 5 star we have been in all Africa!

Rooms were very clean. loved the renovations. Staff was very friendly. Wish you could have renovated the bathrooms as well.

Breakfast buffet was pretty complete. Best to go earlier than later, since it can get crowded. Had a gentleman playing the piano; nice if you are in the mood of piano music amongst a busy fairly noisy breakfast environment. Service at pool I would rate 'not up to par'. Waitress e.g. took no notes of what we ordered; result 1, forgot one of the two main dishes. When we asked for it she said she forgot and going to order it. When it arrived -filet- was raw but we had asked for medium/well-done. Freak incident: order a cocktail; found and spat out a screw! Probably a loose screw from blender; so wonder if their equipment is serviced or inspected at all...(?) Took it to reception. They also seem shocked.
