The hotel and restaurant staff were welcoming. They went all out to make our stay great and comfortable. The rooms were clean and food was delicious. The carpet and some furnitures are old and need to be replaced.
-
Location, it is close to everything. And the restaurant and staff. Nothing

The waitress at breakfast the first day was a little unfriendly and did not offer tea and coffee or any hot breakfasts which were available. We found out the second morning.

The location was perfect. It was easy to get everywhere. There is a young lady that was very helpful and always smiling. Can't remember her name but in the line of Kazim? Not enough lighting in the room. I do like lights

Breakfast was great, location was very good, a 15 minute walk to that sea front The room was somewhat dated and could’ve been a little bit cleaner

It was just ok. Can't expect much for the price they charged. It was reasonably clean. The breakfast was fine. Not really a hot breakfast or made to order. The location is not convenient to the Harbor tourist area. We expected an easy walk to it. The walk was difficult because a lot of the area surrounding the hotel is closed to pedestrians. We got lost trying to find an open walkway. They also told us that after 8 pm the walkways will be closed and the only way to comeback is to get a taxi!

the location is not easy to find as it doesn't show up on the Garmin in my car, the hotel is being re-furbished and the room while nice, clean and quiet showed some of furniture was stained, laminate was flaking and the bath was rusting. Having said this the hotel was nice and the breakfast brilliant the best buffet breakfast ever. The location was good for the V&A but a bit far for the rest of Cape Town. A bit expensive for what was delivered in terms of the quality of the hotel for chilling out in the public areas which were lacking other than the bar. For the price I would have liked the rooms to be better and need refurbishing. Lack of public area and the rooms a bit tired now and need refurbishing.

Breakfast was Great - Friendly Staff and very Central. 15 min walk to Waterfront Besides the renovating that needs to happen - nothing else

The smell on the 3rd floor was bad. Like a dead rat or something. The room was fine but only when you go outside to take the lift or stairs.

The breakfast was very very good! The buffet selection was satisfactory. They have THE BEST MUFFINS. I also enjoyed the yogurt and all the toppings you could add (chia seeds, dessicated coconut, dried cranberries, nuts, etc). The room that we stayed was also quite nice. I messaged the property regarding some concerns (noise because of the harbor, broken heater, leaking shower door, etc) which I saw in other reviews (after I had already made the booking) and they did their best to make sure my stay would not be troubled by these concerns. They put us in a room away from the harbor side, so it was quiet at night. The heater was working quite well. Last but not the least let me mention Akhona, who was so very helpful and hospitable during our stay. She checked in every evening to see if we needed anything else and if everything was okay. The shower door really does leak. It does not appose to the door frame properly unless you pull it up towards the hinge first. But even with the door completely closed, the water still leaks and we end up with a 14 x 4 inch puddle after showering. Only a minor inconvenience though, the puddle completely dries overnight.
