The service was brilliant. The ladies and night butler went over and above to assist us and to ensure we had a lovely stay.
-
Located really close to V & A waterfront, quirky and different staff are exceptional very helpful and friendly lovely place to stay would highly recommend Nothing everything is perfect

Rooms have been worn down a bit.

I loved the breakfast, the location, the size of the room, and the overall ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were also lovely! They also had a night butler that could welcome us quite late. TBH nothing.
-
I loved that they set up a WhatsApp group so I could communicate with the staff about changing arrival times or ask other questions. All of the staff was great and explained the rooms and safety procedures very clearly.

Staff was super nice and very helpful. Thanks again

Location and staff The noise of the toilet; it would be great to have microwave in the room

Small boutique hotel , quiet, comfy bed, good shower, nice, helpful staff. No full length mirror in room, inadequate shelf space in bathroom, lights didn’t all work well, breakfast menu not great, very basic service so I ate there once and ate at v and A waterfront the other two mornings.

Very great and affordable option with spacious rooms. We really enjoyed our stay!

Loved the rooms! The idea of studios was incredible. The staff was first rate as well. The safes in the rooms did not work.
-
Great location, 15 minute walk to the waterfront, staff was outstanding. They let is store bags for 2 weeks when we went to Botswana and Zimbabwe. Good breakfast too. Nothing

breakfast was great - room was small but comfy

The black blinds worked, the bed was comfortable with clean sheets and pillows. There was a table and chairs. The room has books scattered around that was full of dust. When I notified the hotel of my several allergic reactions to dust. There was no outlets in the room. The towels was set outside of the bathroom. It was difficult to coming and going, because the main gate closed at 7 pm. Other entrance was hard to find; entirely different part of the building. The location is far from any restaurants, the hotel does NOT served food after 12:00 pm. The receptionist was not helpful, after I had travelled 30 hours, arrived at noon. They insisted on charging me 250 Rand per hour. Yet, I checked out at 1 am, shouldn’t they refund me the free hours I left them, 10 hours before check out time? Often, there was no one at the reception, not good services. Strongly discouraged anyone from staying at this pretentious, artificially artistic wanted be, this hotel was trying to channel the soho house vibes. But nope! Far from it.

What a wonderful staycation at the Old Foundry Hotel. I merely wanted a place to stay nearby an event I had in town as it was finishing late but this was even better than I had expected. Upon arrival, every staff member was attentive and kind. Carlos gladly assisted my luggage as my room was a little bit of a walk- he was also kind enough to walk me and show me where the “after hours” entrance was as I wanted to ensure the uber dropped me safely at the correct entrance after my event. Tafa was another incredible staff member who gave me a room tour and had such a beautiful energy about her. The staff all seemed to really take pride in their roles. Constantly being addressed by name by all the front desk staff was appreciated too. The location is very central if you’re a tourist wanted to explore the city. The suite I stayed in was a decent size for the city! It was extremely clean, had all of the amenities one would need. Breakfast included was excellent, I had the vegan bagel (I’m not vegan but it was like a leveled up avocado toast which is usually my go to) -it was really good! I would gladly return. PS- the whatsapp group with reception staff in was really helpful as you can request any information or something to be sent to the room and they are very quick to respond. Nothing. It was a wonderful stay and I enjoyed the accomodation and everything it had to offer.

I had a good stay at the Old Foundry during my visit to Capetown. The hospitality was exceptional and I have to say, this is what makes this property stands out. Tafa at reception, especially went above and beyond to ensure our stay was good and was always warm, friendly and professional. This said, I was quite disappointed by the room quality and cleanliness - the room was not clean and you could tell the bathrooms were not cleaned everyday, in addition the towels and sheets are starting to turn brown which was a shock for such an established and acclaimed place. What makes this place stand out is the warm hospitality at reception, the room quality is however not something I would recommend.

This was not the first time we have stayed at the Old Foundry, we were greeted with recognition, which was unexpected. throughout the stay we were greeted by name when seen / addressed. The staff were helpful and friendly and went the extra mile to assist. nothing I didn't like

The service was excellent. Loved the breakfast and that we could choose from the menu even though it was included in the rate. Wiil defenately book here again.
-
The bed was too small and used unevenly so half of it was too soft and half of it was normal. The air conditioning didn't work well. The shower made a lot of noise and you could hear neighbours speaking through the doors. No switch next to the bed to turn the lights off. Breakfast include 1 drink and 1 meal. If you want to have a juice/water and a coffee you need to pay for 1 of them.

We loved how clean it was and how close it was to the V&A. The only thing I would like is a better mattress but that’s just personal preference.

I had the toast and tea and it was excellent thak you nothing really
