Camissa House

So unique…the staff was amazing. The proximity to hiking Table Mountain. The views. The food, breakfast and high tea was always a gourmet experience. Some art work is a bit dark. And noise from main area at breakfast might awaken you.

Beautiful lounge and bar, super friendly and helpful staff. Really tasty breakfast. The room was small at the price and the bed was uncomfortable. The cupboard lights did not turn off and the aircon points directly at the bed. No view. This room was very poorly designed and not thoughtfully apointed.

The location was a very quiet area. The views from hotel were great. They provided shuttle to restaurants and shops with in a certain radius of hotel. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Property is absolutely lovely as was our room. It is a bit out of the way from things. The staff are phenomenal and lovely. The breakfast, drinks, and afternoon snacks were exceptional. The feature of transfers is great but we had some issues arranging timing of transfer (I.e transfers not ready when we needed to go to dinner and made us late for reservation). Other than that one piece of feedback, it was a fantastic stay.

The staff were excellent in every way, always engaged in your stay, lots of information and nothing too much trouble. The location needs understanding its remote and at the very end of a residential no through road, elevated so great views over Capetown. The breakfasts were really good too. Other than breakfast and the delicious high tea there is no other food provision so it's an Uber or Shuttle into town. We didn't find the bed that comfortable but thats probably just us and we weren't a huge fan of the bath shape. We felt safe, valued, cared for and well looked after so a great job by the CH team. A luxury oasis in a fabulous neighbourhood. Felt like a home away from home. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were exceptional, friendly and lovely to be around. Breakfast was amazing - I loved the homemade granola so much the kind chef/staff packed a bag for me to take home on our last day.

Staff was excellent Room was tiny and right above the kitchen, which meant that from 7am every morning the room was filled with the noise and smells from staff making breakfast. Nothing close to a 5 star stay, with management clearly just interested in milking the property for as much money as possible even if that means some rooms are clearly subpar. Very disappointing all round, do yourself a favour and book an actual hotel with better standards across the board.
