Less than a 10-minute drive from St Ives and a 10-minute walk from the sandy Carbis Bay beach, Downsfield Bed and Breakfast offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, a guest lounge with a log burner, and a garden. Great location, very quiet, outside of St Ives but bus stop for quick ride to town across the street, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, friendly hosts Room was a bit warm at nice, a fan would have been nice. But I know the heat was unusual.

We liked everything, location is great, just next to bus stop to take buses to St Ives, walking distance to the train station and Carbis Bay, also close to the pleasant walking route to the St Ives. Breakfast was very good, with many options and quite big portions as well. Bed was firm and nice. NA

Everything. We had an upgrade and the room was massive with a lounge area and a new bathroom and an extremely comfortable bed. This was the best b&b we had in Cornwall. Breakfast was amazing. A gem in Carbis Bay. A short walk to the beach (slightly hilly) and close to grocery stores.

Sharon the owner of downsfield was very kind and her home was lovely, very clean and her breakfast was nice too.location was close to the beach which was nice, would definitely recommend

The bathroom was very small, not much room to move in but had everything we needed for an over night stay

Sharon runs Downsfield with great focus on customer experience and absolutely knocks it out of the park. It’s a wonderful, wonderful place to stay. I wasn’t staying long enough. We now have our only St Ives choice for future visits. Thank you. Shaun & Jess ♥️

Lovely, clean & nautical themed B & B We have the deluxe double-more like a suite with a settee! Lovely room, very modern & spacious bathroom.....and a sea view! Visited La Casita over the road....a hidden Spanish gem in the heart of Carbis Bay Nothing bad to report-would definitely recommend a stay here

It was a lovely stay, such lovely staff too really helpful and it was close to St Ives bus or taxi. Enjoyed full breakfast and comfy rooms.

So clean and homely, very stylish. We had a good look at the other areas of accommodation and they are really excellent with a little something for everyone. There wasn’t anything not to like.

Breakfast was good, although encouragement required to get it before 0830 Towels were awful. Very tired. Noisy due to main road. Overpriced.

Lovely Cornish breakfast , with other options available. We stayed in the cabin which had everything we needed & was very cosy , would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property, bathroom has been done to a very high standard with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, very tasty and plenty of it Bed was a little uncomfortable, but this is a personal preference
