The advertised breakfast fell short of expectations—coffee had no milk, there was no orange juice, and there was only bagels available but it was required extra payment. The bathroom didn't have a door or vent, which limited privacy and airflow.

We LOVED our cute little cabin. It was perfect. The cabins are like a mini town. So charming. Staff is so, so nice.

The staff there was very helpful and friendly! Especially Amy, who checked us in.

Very nice stay, friendly staff, nice grounds, close to everything

This property is located near the shopping center. You have your own shack with a kitchen, living room, room and bedroom. Beds were comfortable and everyone was pretty quiet just depending on the guest we had next-door. I wish we would’ve got one of the sharks that did not have a door to the neighbors because you could hear talking and tv through walls. Inn has nice trail that goes around grounds and is located right off the Carmel River (creek).

The double beds were full size not queen size. It did not say that the beds were queen however when we book a double bed room they are usually queen beds. The beds were too small to fit two adults and the other for a teen & tween. Other than the bed size, the room was nice, clean and cute.

This is one of the most pet-friendly hotels I've ever experienced! The staff was so kind to both us and our pets! They even gave our doggies treats when we checked in. They had dog bags and trash cans scattered throughout the property, all conveniently located. We stayed in the main building of the hotel, but the entire property was so lovely and well-maintained. The room we stayed in was so comfortable! They also had individual cottages and cabins that looked adorable. We will definitely be returning and trying out one of those cottages! :)

We stayed two nights here on one of the cottages. We were very satisfied with location and also how friendly the place is for dogs. Was easy to go on an early little walk or during the evening. The plants and flowers also make the stay more pleasant. Look forward to returning.

Honestly one of the best two-night stays I have had in a while. My fiancée and I wanted something with a more authentic and private feeling than a hotel room and the cottages here provided that and more. Berta our housekeeper helped my fiancée set up a surprise for me & our cottage was impeccably clean and organized. The staff was super helpful and welcoming and encouraged us to use amenities like the very cute fire pits around the property. Such a super pet-friendly property, we saw lots of other guests casually strolling with their pets throughout the day. The location was super easy to get to just be super cautions when getting onto and into the ongoing traffic at the exit. Possibly everything you’re going to need for your stay is a fairly quick 10 min or less mile away. Mara Beach, Monastery Beach and Carmel Meadows Beach are nearby and very pretty! During our stay throughout the week we were able to avoid the crowds at these beaches and found parking fairly easy. Cannot wait to return and enjoy another cottage and to recommend this place to family and friends.

Over the last 5 years, I have stayed at the Carmel River Inn annually and their newest updates are amazing additions to an already great property! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the property is perfect for traveling with dogs, and they now have a food truck for breakfast if you don’t want to leave the property. I love staying here with my 2 bassets!

From check-in to check-out, it was absolutely smooth process. The front desk Jacob is very friendly and helpful. During check-in our room in the Inn was not ready, to accomodate me and my family and relax after driving for about 3hrs, we got a complimentary upgrade and got a cottage room. Their small cottages looks so cute. We got into our cottage and rested for an hour. When we're ready we walked around the property and went to the river to sit and relaxed more. The showroom is very tiny that I kind of keep hitting the wall my elbow. They have nice area with a swing and fireplaces. There's also a food truck across our room and only open for breakfast from 630am-10am. The bed are very comfortable. We loved this place and told Jacob during check-out that we will recommend this place to our friends and for sure will come back.

Everything, this place was an amazing getaway experience. I only wish the price would be more reasonable, I guess we went on high season.

This was a last minute booking after we showed up another hotel and realized that we couldn't stay there. My wife is NOT a camper, so I was a little worried about a glamping tent. The desk staff person was great when we called from the car and put us at ease. When we showed up late we were really pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. Yes, tent walls, but mormal (nice) bathroom and two beds - queen and twin. Little kitchenette was helpful. The property is super quiet and has a great fire pit and cool little breakfast camper with coffee and breakfast items. Very short drive to downtown Carmel. We would absolutely stay here again.

No air conditioning and it was very hot. I was charged for an additional guest when I booked it with that guest already in our count. Room rate was very high for the building because we weren’t in the cottages which would have been fine. The balconies connect to the neighbors and the dog in the balcony next to us kept jumping over. Way too expensive for what we got. Could have been in a nicer place for that money which is regretful.
