Normandy Inn

A wonderful location for getting to Carmel beach and shops, cafes etc and a lovely setting. The flower beds were beautiful. I do feel for the price I paid, that the rooms could do with some updating.

Loved the room, the breakfast, location, the pool, everything was very nice!

The property was very clean and comfortable! Bathroom is a very good size. The staff when you check in are very kind and helpful! They had a warm and welcoming attitude which goes a long way nowadays! I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The staff was wonderful! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking can be tricky, however they have a loading zone that was helpful. For the cost of the stay, a more expansive breakfast would be great. Overall amazing stay!

The room was clean the only problem was there is a smell to the rooms. I had to open the windows to try and air it out. The sheets are itchy.

My only disappointment was in the size of the bathroom and the lack of air conditioning. Otherwise, the place was great.

This is an adorable hotel with an excellent location in the heart of downtown. I would highly recommend it, especially considering the cost. However, please be aware there is limited parking so you have to find available parking nearby. We were able to find spots within a block of the hotel on both nights though.

We had to leave after one night due to the wife's illness.

All fireplaces are gaslit with exception to only three left that are wood burning. They have plans to change those three to gaslit. Only eight parking spots on their property. 7 people capacity in the swimming pool. I was disappointed with their Continental breakfast. I went looking for eggs and the staff pointed me to cold boiled eggs in a mini refrigerator. I noticed muffins, croissants, boxed cereal, and yogurt. The juice was boxed and in the mini refrigerator.

The room was clean. Carpet was either worn looking or needed a shampoo. very basic services but cute & charming. A heated pool small but surrounded by a garden. Bathrooms remodeled and good. No AC but knew that ahead of time. Parking has 8 spots for 50 rooms… so street parking!! It is 105 years old and Carmel has really grown in tourism over the years. It is a continental breakfast pre-packed hard boiled eggs, toast bagels, muffins, variety of cold cereals, bananas and apples coffee & tea. Must be able to do stairs!!
