Interesting "travel" theme. Comfortable and spacious room with terrace. Enjoyable grounds. Room was quite dark. Too much tech was out of place in an historic building (electric drapes; auto toilet; complex lighting) Restaurant falls short of its pretensions. Food was adequate, service was weak. Disappointed to have a bottle of wine brought to the table opened. Doubly surprised by the waitress's lack of understanding of our concern.

Beautiful building. Quirky design. Easy parking. Strange place. Facilities are appalling (the gym was laughable). Everywhere is dark, really dark. Hotel room was freezing. Staff are mediocre. Perhaps it’s better in summer. Constant phishing attacks after their system was hacked. No apology.

This a beautiful Chateau , the accommodation was magnificent. We only stayed one night, wish we had stayed more. We had dinner and breakfast, it was very good. We will definitely return to this place!

Too pricey for dog charge

Plenty of room, wonderful spaces in/around the suite as well as to explore around the property. Garden was a joy to explore Wish we'd stayed for breakfast, since the selection looked amazing, and wish we'd spent some time around the pool as well The stay was great - no complaints

Beautiful facility, great service, unique design. Food was excellent too! True 5* experience. Will definitely come back again.

It is beautiful, the rooms are romantic and gorgeous welcoming staff, they went out of their way to accommodate what they could They did not have air conditioning in the restaurant and entire first floor - and only marginal ac for some of the rooms, but understandably it was during an extreme hot spell out of their control. Dinner room was beyond hot n sweltering to enjoy- even at latest time possible - again weather is out of their control but ….

Like the history and splendor of the place as well as the gardens. Staff was fantastic. Wish pool was heated. ? Dining room got a bit warm at dinner. Some air circulation would help.

The stay was very comfortable. The room was spacious and high-tech.

Dinner, Breakfast, the room, and the employees The bathroom was a bit dark

we loved the room (Mongolia, with love) the staff, the grounds, the entire chateau. breakfast both days were fantastic. two things were really poor: 1) the room next to us let their door slam so many times, our bed moved every time the door slammed. It was quite aggravating at the 15th or 20th time. 2) the dinner was not up to the standard as the rest of the chateau, it was really disappointing.

There was nothing NOT to like.. breakfast is pretty standard fare, as can be expected but dinner was lovely with a lot of attention to detail; well prepared and carefully presented and served. As non-alcohol drinkers we had a lovely choice of juices, freshly made on the premises. Nothing much ! It is not a problem at all but our room, Venice Carnaval is quite theatrical and dark. Being slightly older guests, we felt there could have been more lights in the room. This is all subjective as the next, possibly younger couple will find it perfect for them. There is a choice of rooms though and is really not a problem at all. It would have been very nice if I had a covered parking for my car !

Beautiful “chateau experience”.

The Château de Maubreuil is a truly amazing 5-star hotel located on a huge estate just outside of Nantes. The decoration of the entire hotel and your room will take you back in time. This theming around the former lord of the manor is done down to the smallest detail. The breakfast is rich and fresh, and the restaurant offers very tasty French cuisine for dinner. While we were unable to use the outdoor pool due to weather conditions, the hotel's spa in the basement is a very relaxing place. The gardens around the Caste are amazing and offer exciting opportunities for a walk.

Latest technology fittings. Good breakfast. Well trained and polite staff. Overloaded & outdated decoration. Limited choice & unimaginative restaurant cooking. Overpriced bar.
