A lovely hotel with a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We had a great night sleep. Steve and Tracy are lovely hosts. The breakfast was delicious. We also loved having the chance to drink some whiskey in the evening and Steve gave us great recommendations. We would love to go back one day!

The breakfasts were AMAZING! Chef Steve offered a wide range of scrummy choices. The host and hostess, Steve and Tracey, are really friendly, great people. We were sad to leave after our 2 day visit. So many places to visit nearby. The bar has a great range of whiskeys, and s Steve is very knowledgeable -we enjoyed whiskey tasting with him! Nothing.

This stay was the highlight of our scotland travels. Absolutely high standard, attention to detail, a service that can only be found in family run hotels. You want to come back. Unfortunately the gastronomie in town doesn't meet the standard of this hotel.

Warm and lovely hosts. Delicious breakfast. Beautifully appointed, comfortable room and lounge. Recommendations superb. Much-appreciated whiskey tutorial, tasting and expertise. Near hikes, great food and more.

Wonderful, deeply caring hosts who have restored this property as tastefully as any I have yet seen in the UK. Lovely views from the room. Wonderful breakfast. Best bed of the trip, too.

We had a fantastic experience. It was a very cozy, family-run hotel where they truly did everything they could to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay.

Staff and ownership were completely gracious and outgoing. Grounds were kept well except for a grass clippings pile along their river walk. The rooms and communal rooms were all very clean and historic. I would totally recommend this for a countryside stay.
