The hotel and grounds was clean and beautiful The way Google Maps took us through an area of demolished buildings, we got concerned about the area. The owner was kind and explained.

Clear Facility. Great staff! Location is out of the way. Empty building Is an eye sore.

Very good

Location excellent for those exploring the region. Easy and short drive to get to from Naples airport. The staff are quite excellent, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There are a number of touring options via coach or boat (which we didn't need) so looks useful for people without a car A few things outside of the hotel's control I guess. Castellammare is not really a place to visit as a tourist. Also trains are very overcrowded, so best to book ahead the express trains.

We got great value for our room. Place was clean and decently kept. Easy check-in and out process. Breakfast was disappointing with cold stale bacon and pastries. The owner was nice but a bit pushy, asking us for a 10 star review on here.

- Good air conditioning - staff was friendly - good balcony, great view -clean - extra charge for the pool, €25.00 per person very small 5m by 6m if that, no toilets by the pool. - bathroom dated - mattress was too hard - breakfast over cooked - egg/ bacon were the only hot options. Extra charge for omelettes mushrooms, tomatoes etc - toaster wasn’t great and took ages to warm up would of been helpful if staff did the previously to guest arriving. - rooms needed to sound proofing a little more could conversations next door. - male staff at breakfast were quite abrupt

Owner is really nice. Spacious rooms and lots of storage. Decided to book this accommodation because of pool. It’s open to the public so a relaxing holiday was turned into a kids play area. Guest have to pay for the pool additionally. Didn’t find restaurant food good and staff unfriendly.

The owner and staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. My balcony had a nice view over the mountain. They charge guests to use the pool!! In all my years of travelling, I have never heard of a hotel charging guests to use a pool before. There was nothing special about the pool either, quite small, in fact. I was told on arrival that this was their policy, and it was noted in the booking. On review, that was a lie, Booking.com had no mention, and neither did the messages I received before arrival. I was charged €6 which allowed 2 hours at the pool. It's not worth the money, but as the hotel is located a long walk from the beach, you don't really have a choice. The food in the restaurant was ok. Again, nothing special. The breakfast was nice, though. I think your experience will depend on what side of the hotel your room is. On one side you have a view of the mountain range. The other looks like you're in Chernobyl. The location is a 25-30 minute walk up a really steep hill. Prepare yourself for that.

Hotel was very clean, rooms were a good size and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and the cleaners were great! The facilities at the hotel were all at extra cost to the booking, this added on to our original booking made it very expensive. For example car park was extra, and to use the swimming pool was €5 each for 2 hours, plus sun loungers on top. For. Family of 4, if we used the pool everyday this would have cost over €500 extra. This is a shame as it was the main reason we booked the hotel as it has a pool. Hence we won’t be booking again

The position is good, but it’s difficult to reach because the streets are not very wide The structure is quite old and the facilities are not very comfortable. The car parking is too expensive!

There was a pool, a balcony and a view of Vesuvius. But there was also a view of an abandoned hotel next door, it felt unsafe to get to the hotel and the location is outside of the city, no walking. I loved the staff - such nice people. The pool was refreshing, but not very clean. I think Europeans like the hotel but it was not for us. It felt like it was in an unsafe area. Getting there was confusing with an empty parking lot, abandoned building next door.

It was the off season so we got a good deal and it wasn’t too crowded. The facilities are nice and the breakfast was very good. Basic, but clean rooms and very friendly staff. Also this village is very nice, located at the beach near many attractions, yet not as crowded and noisy as in the big city. Nothing to complain. A rather long walk to the beach if you have no car or scooter but it’s manageable.

Absolutely wonderful service. Hotel manager and his daughter were so helpful, happy, friendly and nice. Breakfast was very good, service too. Pool area is wonderful. Room was very clean. I wish we could come back one day. -

Breakfast was ok, some staff tried to be helpful which was nice. Being hinted at to leave tips at dinner, the lamb at dinner was terrible and from what we could see, most guests that ordered it thought the same, Asking for a Bombay gin and then a cheap alternative was poured, very cheeky.. The walk to/from town is a battle with children, we were only told on the second to last day that they offered a shuttle for a fee, this would have saved us a fortune in taxi's and unhappy child. The location is a bit dodgy, a very odd part of Castellammare. Being charged to use the pool is crazy, its small and then to have to pay to use it seems rediculous.

Excellent staff and very lovely owner If u want go to Malfi or Positano or Sorento ..it is less than an hour driving from this hotel… therefore instead of staying in crowded area… u stay in this hotel…

Good breakfast, nice pool and hotel Surroundings are a bit rough but its not their fault

The breakfast was adequate and had all the essentials to start your day. The staff were always on hand for any assistance, they had a good sense of humour. The grounds were kept clean and tidy. The pool, although not very big, is well kept and had plenty of sun beds and parasols. The hotel is very safe and secure, it always had staff about 24/7. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Ultimately, the best thing about this hotel was that it's 'Family run' and the owner/proprietor (Francesco) has hospitality in his blood! He and his excellent staff (including his daughter Francesca), couldn't do enough for you. They made sure your stay with them was trouble free from the moment you walked in right up to the minute you departed. This what would make our stay the most memorable. The hotel is also in a great location. It was away from the main traffic, but not too far away where you could get to places i.e. train station, local shops etc. I would recommend this hotel 100% every time! NB: Pompeii is only 10mins drive away, and Sorrento 25mins by train, which was one of the main reasons we stayed here. The only downside was the shower tray had a large crack in it which you could clearly see a repair had been carried out, but other than that, all was well.
