B&B La Cot

The hosts were absolutely fantastic. They found a taxi to take us to Mount Etna to join an early morning hike to the summit as the only daily bus doesn’t depart Catania in time. We could see Mount Etna from our bedrooms. The wonderful eclectic decoration and the thoughtfulness to leave us a packed breakfast to take with us . The location was brilliant for transport connections, a short walk to the town centre and a few great neighborhood restaurants . If it hadn’t been for staying here we would not have warmed to Catania which is a wholly different place from the picturesque arguably more touristy consequently; towns further South. Thank you!

Location: close to city center, 7 min. walk to fish mkt, Amenano fountain, another flea market, ruins etc. Room: was in the 2nd floor of the house, has its own bathroom, a window in each room, very cool and airy and spacious for 3 people. The main floor was filled with quirky decor, walls filled with bric a brac but nicely put together, a reflection of owner's interesting personality. Breakfast: was the best part- was made by owner Nini every morning on our preferred time, and each morning was different, but always included eggs, different pastries, meats, cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice, all served in fancy flutes and champaigne glasses and gold rimmed china, made me feel so special. Service: Nini is an exceptional host who is so passionate with everything around the hospitality industry as shown by his attention to detail with breakfast service, helping us navigate the city, suggestions on daytrips outside Catania and even got us an airport transfer that was half the price of the city taxis. I can't say enough of how hospitable he was and how comfortable he made us during our 3 night stay in Catania The elevator was temperamental, sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. Had to walk 2 flights of stairs.

Wonderful bnb with tons of quirky decorations, but most of all - amazing atmosphere and unforgettable hosts!!

This place is amazing; full of character, charm and the artistic touch of Ninni and Christina. Delicious breakfast made by Ninni, along with lovely chats and good laughs. We loved the view from the balcony where you can look in the eye of mama Aetna. And all this in the heart beat of Catania!!! ?

I couldn't get the temperature in the shower to regulate. It also leaked and soaked the floor, but Ninni had it fixed right away.

Exceptional place with great location and an amazing host ?

Location is in city center. Free street parking. The owner is caring and helpful. The room upstairs is huge and quiet. Building has a lift. Shared kitchen with everything you can use.

The hosts were exceptional. They were warm, friendly, accommodating, helpful. The breakfasts were 10/10. From the lovely eating area to the generous, delicious food. The rooms were decorated in an eclectic way with many interesting photos and artwork. The location was close to many sites, a local bus station(not the main one) a few minutes walk away, and many shops and eateries. While the location was great because it was close to so many amenities, it was also on a busy street that was noisy.

We had a wonderful and unique stay! Everything was great, it felt like being at home! Lovely decoration, nice neighbourhood close to everything and our host was so lovely and friendly, as if we were with family! He also prepared the best breakfast for us!!! Impecable. The owner, Ninni. He went extra mile to make our stay a dream. We felt at home, I would say that thanks to Ninni and all his recommendations and care we left feeling a bit Catanese... looking forward to go back! We liked the WHOLE thing.

Super nice hosts, fabulous breakfast and beautiful accommodation. It is unfortunately located at a busy and very noisy street even at night.

This is a place for people who don't mind other guests. There are dining and sitting rooms to share, so breakfast we shared with others. It was a lovely time to exchange our experience as well as get some tips where to go and what to see. The host - Ninni - is a cheerful, positive and open owner. He was the one who made sure we knew everything about the house, room and places to visit. We got maps, directions, info regarding public transport. Location is very convenient, it is close to Borsellino bus and coach station as well as to the old town, shops. Breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared by Ninni himself. The place is safe, there is a lift. Not recommended to get a car, there is parking on the street, not easy to find space. We felt at home during our 4 days stay. Rubbish bags on the street.

Very nice and authentic accomodation. The hosts were the best, Nini makes the best breakfast and cappuccino!

Ninni was an excellent host and a great guy! The room was very well located in a vivid and central neighbourhood. The philosophy of the hospitality and the house's decoration fit perfect with the Sicily we met in all terms and contribute to the gaining of a unique experience. This is actually the term that defines very accurately the staying at La Cot B&B: A unique experience! We could use one more chair in the room. Also, the lighting could be a little be stronger.

Nini and Cristina are an awesome hosts, they made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is great, close to the castle, as well as great restaurants and bar. The decoration of the B&B is unique and full of flair. Nothing.

I stayed at La Cot with a friend for three nights. We loved the eccentric decor, breakfast, locations, and Ninni! He was so welcoming and kind. Catania is an incredible city, and La Cot was an incredible place to stay. I would definitely come back with my friends or partner and stay at La Cot.

This place was one of the most interesting places we have stayed. From its quirky bohemian decor to its super friendly hosts, Nini and Mary. We absolutely loved it. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, lovely linen. Beautiful living and dining packed full with interesting art and antiquities. Our breakfast was prepared by our host Nini who was wonderful. The amount of detail in the table setting for breakfast was far beyond our expectations. The breakfast was our best throughout our journey in the South of Italy. We will definitely stay here again. Thankyou, it’s a very special place
