Location was great and personal very accommodating Bed

Breakfast was tasty, very Italian breakfast The host is welcoming and friendly Lack of daylight in a room A lot of mosquitoes but hopefully there was special mosquito repellent

I liked the room and the accommodation. The breakfast was decent for the value. Very helpful host. The bed was squeaky and unstable and a bit uncomfortable for those reasons.

I liked everything . The host is a very honest person who knows how to do business . I arrived early and the host offered me breakfast , coffee, and was very kind . I also love the location - it’s right in the center of Catania. Just 10 minutes away from all attractions. Also there is a market right here with the best fruits , and in the evening the street turns into a big party . Oh, and the balcony !

A decent hotel in the heart of Catania

The breakfast is continental, location is very good close to everything. Around the corner is this street mercado local where you could buy souvenirs for 1 euro. 3 blocks down you will find many restaurants my favorite one Razmataz. The street don’t look nice yet it’s secure.

The location was great, the price was pretty acceptable, the staff was very friendly and the room had a balcony. It wasn't easy to get to my room. I had 4 keys, as there were 4 doors to my room. There were also difficulties while I was checking out, as no one was there to help me. I went out from the back door.

Excellent location, cannot hope for better. A great way to do checkin online, prior to arrival. Check out hour ! It is unacceptable to have somebody knock on your door at 9.00 a.m. asking you to vacate, because the next guests are lined up !

Nice place, friendly staff, good breakfast. Everything was clean. I would stay there again, if I have a chancex The bed was little bit groaning

The location was great, an easy walk into the city centre down the Via Etnea. Easy to pop back to the accommodation whilst out and about. Loads of great restaurants around. The room was good value for a solo traveller and had everything you need if you want your own room. Breakfast was lovely at the cafe round the corner. The bed was slightly uncomfortable, it could maybe do with replacing or adding a memory foam topper or something. There's a bit of noise from the small road next to the room, especially weekday mornings when market traders are getting out their stalls, and also loud rushing water noise from taps in other rooms.

location the room was very dated

I liked the deco and the cleanliness of the B&B. I didn’t like the small single bed, it creaked a lot and definitely could do with being replaced.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations thanks to its host: in addition to some great sightseeing tips, he also provided us with beach towels every day and extended our room for free until the evening, as we had a late flight. My friend and I really appreciated that. The room was simple, but it had everything we needed. The location is excellent: a 1-minute walk to the main street of the town, and on the other side, there are plenty of bars and restaurants (the room itself was quiet). The rooms are quite simple and could use a light cosmetic renovation. But any downsides are easily overshadowed by the host's outstanding hospitality.

I arrived at the airport and found that hotel had not sent the shuttle to meet me as requested. I waited for he driver but they did not turn up. The hotel did not ring me to say there was a problem. So I had to make my own way to the hotel. I arrived at the hotel and the gates were locked and there was no response from the doorbell. I checked all my messages with the hotel. No pass code had been provided. I phoned the owner times and messaged him many times but no reply. I waited for a long time hoping they would get back to me. It was late at night and dark, I felt distressed as I had nowhere to stay. I walked a while with my luggage and found a 4star hotel. They were full. The receptionist there spent ages ringing around the hotels, b&b, looking on sites to find a room for me. Everywhere was full. There was a concert and a political visitor in town. Eventually they found a room for 175 euros which was way above my budget but I was desperate and had no where else to stay. I had to walk with my cases for 15 to 20 minutes on a crowded cobbled stone road to get to this hotel. In this time I did not receive any help or contact from B&B Cityfair. I sent another message to the hotel saying what had happened to me. The next day the hotel sent me a message saying the driver had been at the airport and he would have let me in with the passcode. Apologised for the inconvenience and said he would reimbursed me payment to his hotel. I don’t think the driver was there as I looked and waited and he didn’t phone me. The hotel owner response did not show any concern or real explanation.
