Hotel La Ville

The decoration is very old fashion and old. Looks dark. It should be modernized.

The breakfast was the best part. Amazing breakfast. They did get some new sofas while we were there. They let us leave our bag there before check in and after. The location was only all right. It's not in a very nice area. It was close to the bus station, which was convenient. It's relatively close to the center, but we had to do a lot of walking to Piazza Duomo for example. The staff does not speak a word of English, so that makes getting information from them impossible, like catching buses. One staff lady was very unfriendly at first, but then warmed up. When we first walked in, we saw paint peeling off the walls which put us off, but the room itself was large and well kept. The air conditioning was not strong enough for our taste, and it was an old system, so we were warmer than we would have wanted to be.

Very good location nice old building with wide rooms No management wast of a beautiful building. Nothing worth of the amount paid. Parking was a disaster. Parking is not if this hotel and when you park there you have to give them keys.

Location of the hotel is nice if you want to travel from Catania using train. Very friendly staff, clean rooms. At the time of our visit there was a group of school youngsters also located in this hotel and as you would expect they were bit loud and late. Sound isolation of the rooms could be better.

No one spoke English. The hotel was on the not so nice part of town. Our room was on the 3rd floor, the elevator only went to the 2nd floor. The staff had to go through our room to get to their storage room.

The neighborhood around the hotel was not the most attractive, but the city center was only about a 15-minute walk away. We traveled with children, and the hotel staff treated them with kindness and made us feel comfortable as a family. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the warm hospitality On the downside, the breakfast was quite limited and did not meet our expectations. Additionally, the mini fridge in our room was not working, which was inconvenient.

Room

Facilities were old and had a musty smell. The hotel was far from the city center, no restaurants, shops, or other commercial facilities nearby. I had to walk 40 mins to get dinner. Staff was lack of enthusiasm to serve guests

This is a super hotel with lovely helpful staff The area is a bit run down but never felt unsafe

It’s actually even the worst hotel I ever stay at not much. Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Having said that, the bed was actually comfortable. The neighborhood was very old and dirty looking. If you’re looking to stay with $100 budget then perhaps this would be OK. Nevertheless, the pictures were somewhat deceiving.

Is clean

The surrounding is very shady. The doors were closed for guests checking in after hours. I arrived there at 9:15 PM and the main door was closed. If it weren’t for some other guests going in with their keys, I would not be able to get inside.

On the site, it says check-in from 12 am to 12 am. I arrived at 10 and was trying to check in but had to wait till three. They were nice and let me store my baggage there for the day.
