Bathroom shower needed some maintenance. Flaking paint would fall onto drain. Beds were not very comfortable. I personally did not like using mobile web page to open doors. My phone internet was not always able to load it quickly and I worried about being able to get in at night. It always worked eventually so not a big deal.

Great Location right by the Duomo and the Via Etnea. We were there for one night before our early flight out of Catania. Staff was excellent and very helpful with an airport shuttle. The room had a small balcony overlooking a nice street with many restaurants. Nothing. it was fine for the night.

Excellent location, clean rooms and good breakfast

Great property where everything worked. We loved it.

Hotel Trieste is a no-fuss hotel in the best way. It’s impressively clean, comfortable, and the staff are super nice and helpful. It’s perfectly located in the old town of Catania and walking distance from anything you could want, from attractions to restaurants and more. The parking is super convenient and the spaces are actually a bit bigger than they look online. The hotel itself is also pretty quiet considering the prime location!

Great central location for city and sights. N/A

I’m so glad I stumbled across this gem. Very friendly and helpful family-run hotel. I wound up staying four nights, and they remembered my name throughout my stay. Communication was quick and efficient through WhatsApp. Rooms were clean and modern with a small fridge. My room had a Juliette balcony, which was a nice view and allowed fresh air. The hotel is right in the historic district and very walkable. The hotel offers tours, but i already had my itinerary when i arrived. As a single woman, I felt the hotel was secure. I safely walked in the area during the day and at night. People in Catania stay up very late. It was louder on the weekend (Saturday). I think this would be at any hotel in the area though. With ear plugs I could sleep.

No in room safe. Bed was s bit hard for my taste

The location was excellent. The entire staff was so accommodating to my every need and just like family. Lorenzo was especially nice and always making sure if there was anything I needed. It’s a family run hotel and you can tell that they care that your stay was special. Nothing!

An unusual small hotel. Quirky, very friendly. Perfect for someone wanting something other than a cookie cutter experience. I'd love to visit again.

Location in the middle of Catania. Excellent staff. It had secure parking for cars. Could have had better bathroom amenities. A lot of stairs.

Great location and staff was very helpful!

Chiarra was so gracious when I arrived, exhausted, after a very long 2 days of travel. She couldn't have been more helpful, making sure my room was made ready ASAP. My friends and I found our room to be very clean, and the hotel very safe. The location is remarkable, mere blocks from the city center and to many good restaurants. One of my companions was 83 and limited in mobility. Even she was pleased with the location. An added BIG bonus was on site parking!

Location is excellent. Marco and his wife that are the owners were fantastic. Facility is OK. Extremely convenient parking on premises. Missing an elevator to go to the rooms. There is a step from the bathroom to the room that has to be handled with care. Probably it was required because it is an old and beautiful building that had not had all the piping, but a solution need to be found.

The hotel was great. Centrally located and very comfortable.

Great location, only a couple blocks from the main square and Via Etnea. The person at the front desk (Diego) was very nice and gave us great recommendations for dinner. I also liked very much that the hotel tries to follow sustainable practices and educate its guests.

We had a wonderful stay, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel completely at home. Everything was spotless, the location was perfect, and the hospitality was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Right around the corner from the main square and fish market. Perfect location in Cantania! Many shops and restaurants and main historical sites. Hotel was perfect for traveling and 2 -5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop or the main bus station. Highly recommend for the traveler who has only a small amount of time in the city to see everything!
