Dirty, unsafe, sketchy shared apartment with other 2 rooms

Had this been clearly presented, we would not have chosen this accommodation. Unfortunately, after expressing our concerns, no meaningful solution or compensation was offered despite the accommodation not meeting the expectations created by the listing. I would not recommend this property to guests who expect an en-suite bathroom or who rely on photos to accurately reflect the layout of the accommodation. Greater transparency in both the description and the photos would help future guests avoid the same disappointment.

The location was excellent , right in the middle of everything. I didn’t meet the owner however he/ she answered any question I had via the app. The room needs some touch ups . Even tough it might be clean, because its super used it seems dirty . For instance in the bathroom the silicone from the shower is dirty / moldy. And the walls are stained . The bed sheets were extremely used ,had a dirty look ( they were clean but seemed dirty because of the fact that were over used ) Same thing happened with the towels, they were supposed to be white and in fact were grey ( I was sorry I didn’t bring my own towels) .

Quick to get to the centre. Managed to park nearby for free but the streets are very tight. We struggled to get in. Main door was locked on arrival, struggled to get apartment door to lock which was stressful. Rooms look much nicer in the picture. Booked it thinking would be nicer than it was so would have chosen a different option that was cheaper. Bathroom wasn’t in the room which was different to what I expected from a private bathroom

Near bus station, good price… There is wet and moulding wall in the hall, the veď was not comfortable, Kitchen was not too clean- but IT was one kitchen for three rooms…

Location is great, near the center, great comfortable bed, everything you need is near.kitchen was good, everything was clean. Wifi was good also. Bathroom was separate, but you have the key , so it’s private. View was not that we were expected, but also okay. If you will not close your door, someone can accidentally come in ?.

Great location - fairly close to everything. Easy self-check-in, even though, we would have appreciated it if it had been mentioned beforehand, we would have done it at the time that was comfortable to us and not waited around, because we thought we'd have to meet the person for a check-in in person. It was our worst experience with booking.com so far. First of all, the rooms didn't match the photos on the listing at all. The photos were probably taken like 10 years ago when the rooms were new, but now the rooms are very worn and neglected (see attached pictures). If I had not felt ill on the day of check-in, I would have definitely contacted booking.com and would not have stayed the night in this place. So the least I can do now is to warn others about our experience here. There was A LOT of mold on the walls, the floor and all the furniture were dirty and very worn (even the curtains). We were even afraid to check the condition of the mattresses and bedding, if you want to be able to sleep there at night, don't check them.. The room lock was just a real mockery, it's not how it's supposed to be. Besides, you couldn't even find sugar for coffee here. I would not complain about all of this if it was the cheapest option in Catania, but now it's just not fair to pay a normal price for a stay that doesn't even upkeep its facilities and uses old photos to lure guests in. Avoid this place at all costs!

We were very satisfied with our stay, the room was comfortable for 2 person and it was cleen too. The location was were close to city center, definitely would recomend it, also the owner orientated which bus to take from centrale

when we return to Catania, of course wewill not return there. the driver that we took contacted the number in the booking, the person did not know the location well. he got another number , that knew the location, this person said I sent an email for the credentials, but they had not arrived yet. And when we recall they send all the information,this is the smallest thing that happened to us . When we enter we saw that it was an apartment divided into rooms and the toilet was outside the room! It is not specifically in booking . The location was good, cleanliness was fine. But the biggest problem and it's intolerable is that they don't inform that animals are allowed because the room next door besides the fact that at 6 o'clock they could be heard shouting, it was their dog that was barking all night. of course there is no reception to talk about!!!
