The room was both architecturally, beautiful and very comfortable. Nothing.

The staff were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The hotel is in a great location, close to the main pedestrian street while still being in a quiet area. It was easy to walk to the fish market, historical landmarks, and many other attractions. Despite the building’s historic character and the thoughtful renovations, Suite 8 on the lower level still had a musty smell and a humid feeling - and felt somewhat like a dark basement. Brighter lighting might help create a more inviting atmosphere. I would recommend requesting one of the upstairs rooms if available, as I believe they offer a more pleasant overall experience.

staff very efficient, atentive, helpful, its a boutique hotel, very quiet, they have a restaurant next door with good food breakfast was very nice good vareity of everything you can think nothing

The place is beautiful, centrally located with friendly staff. It was the perfect place for our family gathering.

Two major concerns. One, this is a not by any standards a "5 Star Hotel", just by the lack of service. They were nice and attentive, but do not expect 5 Star Hotel service since there is 1 person on call during the evenings but really only for major issues. The dining room is very minimal and the courtyard is not nearly as spacious as the pictures make it look. Also, the room description is a bit misleading. Booking made it seem like it came with 3 beds but 2 of 3 were only by special request. When we arrived at 7pm, the on call evening person was unable to make any changes to this and we had to share the one bed in the room. The owner the next morning was very nice and explained the situation/offered to make up the beds differently (as two twins), but this was still odd and recommend looking carefully at the booking details.

We stayed in the executive suite. The room was very spacious, comfortable beds and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and hamam. It was an excellent way to end the trip in Sicily. Very friendly staff. The fruit and sweets were an attentive gesture. We liked everything but just small suggestion to provide wine glasses in the room.

Beautiful property with an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable and all the amenities were exceptional. Breakfast was also a very nice start to the day.

Big mistake… Not a 5 Star Hotel. Purchased 8 nights, left after 2 nights. We were charged for the additional 6 nights (understandable) but the facility was bad enough that we forfeited over 3,000 Euro in prepayment in order to leave. Room #6: The fruit that was waiting for us in our room was rotten and bruised, the placemats at the breakfast were soiled, the “terrace” was actually an elevated, encased glass room within our room with a fogged exterior window and a small vent at the top. The only thing the “terrace” offered was very loud street noise (cars, trains, and sidewalk foot traffic) through the vent at the top. There is no concierge, and the front desk is only attended at check in and check out (the hotel claims to have attendant at the desk during daytime hours but we never saw it attended other than our scheduled check in and scheduled check out). We were shown to our room at check in, but there was no information provided for the multiple function spa tub or multiple function spa shower. The hotel patio was never mentioned - We only came upon the patio by accident when searching the hotel for someone to help us. The room is beautiful, but does not have adequate space for clothing and belongings (we traveled with 2 carry on bags and 2 small backpacks). This is the first time I’ve given a 5 Star hotel a poor review.

Location. Beautiful rooms. Comfortable. Staff…Selso the host. Acqualavinca restaurant. Lighting in the rooms…too dark. Too many light switches … need a PHD to figure them out. Poor ventilation in Room 6 bathroom … you get cooking/restaurant vent/odors in the bathroom. Should provide turndown service at night.

We loved using the Hammam after a long trekking day in Etna. The huge bed was beyond comfortable and the little private terrace with a view of the Duomo is just beautiful. We had a wonderful stay and would choose this place again in a heartbeat! One minor detail: the faucet in the bathroom sink is motion activated and doesn't allow you to control the water pressure or temperature. Also being a light sleeper, the sound insulation between the suite and the breakfast room could be improved. Otherwise all was perfect!

This property far exceeded our expectations! As a special shout-out to Celso and Stefania, who kept in touch with us every step of the way! We had an early flight back to the US at the crack of dawn and wanted to close out the trip on a high note, which was totally the case. The staff was impeccable in their interactions with us, welcoming, kind, and thoughtful - far above what I might have expected given our one-night stay. The property itself is stunning, old but with every modern touch you might hope for, particularly in terms of lighting and furniture. I selected a two-bedroom unit (OMG the bathtub was like a hot tub!!) because I needed to room with a friend, and they quickly made up the bed when they understood. They also arranged for drivers to take us to the airport. Mine came promptly at 4 am and was dressed in a suit and cheerful, helping me with my bags (which were heavy with purchases) and setting the tone for what would be a long day of traveling on the right note. 10 out of 10 recommend this gem - and the onsite restaurant exceeded our expectations as well. Everyone we interacted with was flawless in terms of their energy and obvious desire to accommodate us; it was beautiful! One of our drivers didn't show up, but that happens anywhere. What was a little odd was that they contacted me to pay for it, saying my friend had been a no-show.

This is an incredible, newly renovated property that is very close the end of Via Etnea (the main tourist street) with interesting sites and good restaurants. It has very good air conditioning and attached restaurant. I highly recommend this as a relaxing escape from the summer heat of Catania but also close to the action. Nothing . Amazing place

Beautiful and unique rooms

We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and treated like VIPs. Everything exceeded our expectations (Staff, facilities, location, food). We were so pleased with our stay that we can’t wait to return!
-
The rooms are exceptionally spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The customer service was outstanding—staff members were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area, and the building itself is very impressive, with beautiful architecture that adds to the overall experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a combination of comfort, convenience, and top-notch service.

Amazing place! Awesome staff

Absolutely stunning property! Old wine cellar updated with the new modern amenities. Very private and only a few suites. The employees are beyond friendly and accommodating beginning with Celso, the GM, Vitoria and the rest of the staff. The location could not be better! It’s in a private quiet street and two minutes away is the center of the old town. And to top it all off, it’s attached to a super cool Michelin rated restaurant where the food is insanely fabulous . Ivana who works there along with the lady from Brasil are exquisite ! This place is a find ? Nothing
