From the moment we booked, Pippo was outstanding. He was very responsive and extremely helpful with recommendations and information. He welcomes you with great care and passion for his B&B. He sat with us and mapped out the area with recommendations for food, activities and answered any questions that we had. The personalized breakfast he offered was more than enough and extremely thoughtful. He even left a few treats for us! Although it is on the top floor, there is a newly installed elevator for luggage and for those who don't want to climb the 90 or so steps (we thought of it as a challenge with a wine reward at the top!) Even with shared spaces we felt our room was private. We had everything we needed (and more!). Don't hesitate to stay here, Pippo is enough of a reason! You will not find a host more helpful and accommodating. Thanks, Pippo! Beds were extra firm in our room. We are used to firm beds, but other guests may not enjoy.

I am so grateful to have found B&B Chapo. From the moment I met the owner, I felt completely at home. They were incredibly kind, gracious, friendly, and knowledgeable, which made the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. The location is perfect and convenient and ideal for exploring the area. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and full of rustic charm, giving this stay a cozy and authentic feel. As an American woman, traveling alone, I felt completely safe and at ease the entire time, which is something I deeply value. At the same time I could easily see this being a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway.

The host, Pippo, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to recommend us amazing restaurants, show us by map where we could visit, and prepared great breakfasts every morning for us. Him and his family are helpful, kind and all around great people, and I definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Catania.

The room is in a perfect location. The host, Pippo, is very accommodating and helpful, and will give you a map of best areas to see and areas to avoid. Also…maybe reach out to him after you book to see if he can recommend some cheaper excursions (Godfather tours etc). An elevator is being installed but until then…there are 80? 90? steps to this top floor room. It was a minor inconvenience but for people with mobility issues, these stairs would pose a challenge. Breakfast was very basic.

What a great place! The location is perfect! There are numerous restaurants within 50 yards of the building. Pippo, the host, gave me a map and outlined places to go. He also made dinner reservations for me at a fantastic restaurant and scheduled a taxi for me the day I left! Pippo's hospitality is over the top! I DEFINITELY will stay there again in the future! Nothing!

Host Pippo was very kind and helpful, he gave us a lot of recommendation about Catania and what to visit, where to eat. Breakfast was ok. The apartment where we stayed was very charming in an old bulding in the city center. Everything was ok.

B&B Chapo is inviting and stylish. Pippo, the host is an absolute gem. I recommend following his advice. I love live music and found a great little Irish pub with live music nearby. not applicable

Super friendly and helpful host. I don't think there is better location. Close to the airport bus stop. All places that you need to visit are also close.

The owner,Pippo is very friendly. He kept in communication from the day we booked and saw us off with a special treat to take back home with us! ? He went through in details the places to go and where to eat and was available online at all the times when we were out and about. Very good service!

Chapo's B&B exceeded expectations! The location is perfect—just steps from the theatre and its square, yet on a quiet street. Everything is in walking distance! The room was very comfortable (2x single person bed), with a small balcony and a well-equipped private bathroom (multiple towels/change provided). Beppe, the host, was incredibly welcoming, providing local tips, arranging dinner, and even offering first aid when needed. He ensured a smooth check-in, even though we arrived late at night, and took the time to personally highlight the best spots in town on a map. His attention to detail, from breakfast preparations to making sure we had everything we needed, made the stay extra special. The theatre-themed decor added a unique charm. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared the night before and left outside the door, with delicious options. Plus, the coffee machine in the common area was a great touch! There’s nothing we can really complain about. Everything was well taken care of, and our stay was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable from start to finish!

Loved its quirkiness and the brilliant host. I know a lift is nearing completion but there are a lot of stairs to the top floor! Otherwise I’d have given it 10

Here’s a glowing review for the second B&B: Our three-night stay at this B&B was absolutely unforgettable! Located right in the heart of the historic center, the property is perfectly situated for exploring the area. The room was beautifully decorated in a charming old-style while being incredibly comfortable—a perfect blend of character and coziness. The host was exceptional, treating us like family and ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. The breakfasts were abundant and absolutely delicious, providing the perfect start to each day. The host was always available and eager to assist with anything we needed, making us feel so welcomed and cared for. This B&B truly exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! None

We stayed at B&B Chapo for three days as a couple, and our experience was absolutely amazing. The place was spotless, neat, and incredibly well-maintained. The host, Giuseppe, is undoubtedly one of the kindest and most exceptional hosts we have ever encountered—and we’ve traveled extensively! From the very beginning, Giuseppe made us feel incredibly welcome, preparing a beautiful check-in experience. He took the time to show us around, explain everything, and even helped us book some stunning local attractions. Although I won’t go into detail about the extra gestures we received (to avoid creating expectations for others), I will say this: where others might charge extra, Giuseppe didn’t even mention it. We genuinely felt like royalty during our stay. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, offering both sweet and savory options. On top of that, we were surprised with some wonderful local homemade treats that added a personal touch to our mornings. The location of the property is ideal, making it the perfect base to explore the beauty of Sicily. We can’t wait to come back! If you’re visiting Sicily, staying at B&B Chapo is a must. Thank you, Giuseppe, for an unforgettable experience! There are absolutely no downsides to this place.

Great location in the heart of the city. Clean comfortable accommodation with interesting decor. The host was excellent ensuring we had an enjoyable stay. We were given a warm welcome and were provided with local information The breakfast was very good and tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated Be aware this is a top floor apartment with many steps however a lift was being installed at the time of our stay

The room is very comfortable, plenty of room for luggage and a nice sized refrigerator for water and drinks. Breakfast was served every evening on a trolley (for the morning of course) croissant, jam, butter, fruit, juice. Coffee and tea facilities in the lobby of the property. Bathroom is fine but a bit cramped. Location is fantastic, pedestrian street near the opera house and 5 minute walk to the duomo. Everything was cool, the stairs to the property on the 3rd floor a bit of a challenge, but they’re about 80% forward in building a new elevator in the property courtyard.

Friendliest host, super central location and cozy room. Would definitely book again!

Centrally located and fabulous host! We were welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the artistic decor and very centrally located for all the attractions. We also got great recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was excellent and a great coffee machine was there for espresso. A great place to stay! Couldn’t say anything bad about it.
