CHARME Catania Central Suites

The rooms LOOK amazing and the location is great! The bathroom flooded a ton, like barely a drop goes down the drain. The AC was not installed properly and filled a a giant vase in only ONE NIGHT. So the entire room flooded. Also, it took us like 30 minutes to find the host to check-in

LOCATION WAS EXCEPTIONAL — ALTHOUGH signage for Hotel is to high up on the buiiding — there needs to be much better address VISIBLE (many guests seemed v. confused in trying to figure out WHERE the hotel was even tho' they/I were/was standing right in front of Hotel!!!!!!! The lovely chef made fruit tarts, amazing pastries daily for breakfast. The place was silent at night. The design was fun and fresh and imaginative. Quality of other guests (politeness, sophistication, respect for other travelers was notable). Restaurant served good lunch and dinner and Giovanni and Angela (Manager and Colleague) were very very helpful with cultural suggestions/geographical help and went out of the way to help w/ some Tech problems I was having with my phone & computer. Lovely, Lovely, gracious management and staff. Coffe was a bit strong (and I generally like strong coffee‚ so maybe staff can all take refresher on making cappuccino and americanos?! It was pretty CHARMING = other than coffee a bit too strong — all very very NICE indeed! As noted above — Hotel address is tiny sign hanging vertically very high up above canopies below — VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE!!!! There needs to be signage that is horizontally affixed to the facade at EYE LEVEL!!!!!! (Under the canopies, please). SO MANY guests were standing right in front of small hotel entrance and asking where hotel is located!

The Wi-Fi did not always work, and there was not always someone available at the reception 24/7 for questions.

Location with no parking and hard to find

The property is fantastic. And great location. Our room was absolutely beautiful. And staff members were all fantastic. From Angela, who helped us from the moment we arrived to the waitstaff, just amazing people. Great food also. Breakfast was very good. Pizza and Aperol amazing! Our room would have been better with some shelving or storage for clothing. There is loads of space in the room but the space could have used more functionality. Would also have liked blackout blinds or curtains because of bright light on the building outside our room.

Charme Suites Catania is a hidden gem! Amazing location, modern, cool vibe, great interiors. Comfortable bed, spacious room, great view of University of Catania Square. Delicious breakfast, luxurious soaking tub in room (so romantic❤️). Restaurant on premises for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Great concept. Look forward to returning. Special thanks to Angela (morning breakfast manager) & Samuel server & Hotel Manager for their excellent hospitality! Nothing. Everything was perfect!

A fantastic stay at Charme Catania! The location is perfect, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and thoughtful—having a breakfast ready for us at 3:30 a.m. before our early departure was such a lovely gesture. Highly recommended!

Location and cleanliness were amazing!

The location is great. It is central Catania and a lovely pedestrian area. Lots of shops and restaurants. The actually room is very charming. Loved the decor and the “roughness” of the walls. Loved the very large bath tub. The room only had one window at one end. The airflow a little hampered. It took a while to get the air conditioner fan running, but once it did the airflow improved. Leaving the window open wasn’t possible because of the piazza and restaurant outside the window.

Great location. And interesting design. Bottles emptied across alley every morning at 4 AM but that’s just part of being in the city. No clear instructions on what to do at check out. No staff around so just left keys on desk and messaged them. Cement floors can be slippery when wet so need to be careful

Noisy area.

The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was incredible. Gabriela was amazing. Couldn’t ask for more. We will definitely come back.

The only draw back was dropping our stuff from our rental car at the hotel, since it's on a very small but busy street, you can't stop for long.

Location was stunning, our room overlooked the Christmas market in the adjacent square. The breakfast was like nothing I’ve ever seen at a boutique hotel. Exceptionally good cappuccino, beautifully flavoured omelettes, pastries, fruit, cheese platters, yogurt, croissants fresh from the oven. Attentive and lovely staff.

I'd add a throw or blanket in the living room to warm it up with the leather & brick and some coasters

This hotel was well maintained, clean, and had an excellent location. Our room looked over the square and combined modern amenities with historic architecture. Nice bar/restaurant on the street level. Location was excellent. Breakfast ran late so we were in a rush to catch a bus to another town on our second day.
