Great location in a quiet area, and the apartment was very clean. The bedroom had large windows that let in plenty of light, a super comfortable bed, and the hot water was consistently reliable. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of snacks and water waiting for us. The owner’s son was very friendly and took the time to show us around, which made for a warm welcome. We were initially a bit disappointed with our apartment because photos on the listing seem to be grouped together, which gave us the impression we would have a room with a balcony—but that wasn’t the case. Google Maps also directed us a little ways down from the actual location, and after a long day of travel, it would have been really helpful if someone had met us outside when we called for assistance. Be aware that the penthouse involves more than 50 steps. Read carefully the description if you’re looking for a specific room with a balcony. Additionally, having a few larger, more absorbing bath towels would have been pleasant.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a small balcony offering a lovely view of the Duomo. The details inside created a charming, authentic vibe. The accommodation is very close to the city center, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The apartment is uniquely designed and located in a charming old building—around 150 years old, if I’m not mistaken. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The hosts were very helpful and assisted us in finding nearby parking, as it’s not entirely safe to leave the car on the street. Communication with the host could have been better. I understand we arrived over the weekend, but finding and accessing the place wasn’t the easiest experience. Breakfast was decent, though nothing particularly special.

There were many many stairs. This was the last day of our trip and I did not expect all the stairs. I had asked about stairs prior and they said there were a few. The place had an eclectic vibe. The room was okay. The bed was very low to ground. The a/c in room was okay ( as it was hot and very humid outside. But the other parts of apartment were hot. It wasn’t horrible but not great.

Good location. Clean, comfortable, and home-like ambience. Amazingly stylish decor with character. The host, hostess and their family were very friendly and helpful. The home-made cakes for the breakfast were superb. Obviously they operated the place with heart. We stayed there for six nights in June 2025 and were glad that we had made the right choice. Wish we could stay there again in future.

Great location. Comfy bed. We had to pay extra £5 pp for pastry breakfast. The smell of cooking

Great place to stay in a traditional building. Was able to check in earlier which was very helpful. Breakfast with everything and even more. Walking distance to the center. Great hosts.

We had a pleasant stay at Tricora Sicilian B&B. The location is close to the main square, about 800m away and the main advantage is that it also offers a parking place in the interior court, which is really hard to get in Catania. The beds were very comfortable and the room big enough. There is also a kitchen nearby and free coffee. The hosts are very friendly. The Via Garibaldi is a little noisy, this would be the only disadvantage.

The owners, Daniela and Vincenzo have done a fabulous job retaining the original decor on one floor of this 140 year old building. We stayed in a B&B room for one night before an early flight and it was perfect for the purpose. They were kind enough to give us an early check-in as well. The location-a short walk from the main square and Duomo--is great. The room, with an elaborate 15 foot ceiling, original tile floors and small balcony has its own small but fully functional bathroom built into it. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. There is a breakfast room with a refirigerator for guests to use. We did not have breakfast as we left very early. Daniela was especially lovely, taking us on a tour of the B&B including the rooftop terrace, which is beautiful. We really enjoyed talking with her. It's a unique property in a great location. Be aware that the B&B is up several steep flights of stairs. Very helpfully, Vincenzo and Daniela took our luggage up while we returned our rental car. Also, it might be difficult to find parking if you come with a car as it's on a very busy main street.

It was simply amazing! I have never stayed at a place that had this much character. I loved the design and the apartment had everything we needed. It was a few minute walk from the main square. It was not a problem for us however it can be for others who arrive with bigger luggage. We stayed at the penthouse apartment which was at the 3rd floor and there’s no elevator. Also, the pictures showed this really cool terrace but it was not mentioned how we can use it, if you really want to take advantage of it it’s best to ask about it.

Wonderful room with super comfy bed! Loved the location and the hosts, there is also the chance to organize a trekking to the Etna volcano with mountain guides, highly recommended as well!
