The hotel building was run down, though the staff was kind. Our room smelled like a mixture of cigarettes and mildew. I do give the staff as higher rating because they were trying and they were there to help with breakfast and check-in.

The outside doors did not lock and one didn’t have a card reader on it. The floors felt damp. The air conditioning didn’t pull the humidity out of the air. The eggs and sausage were cold and the heaters were not working. The sink and bathtub did not even have plugs for the drains. I thought BAYMONT was a middle to upper tier hotel. This one was not even close.

The location The room smelled like smoke, the room wasn’t clean, and the breakfast was poor. My biggest complain is the smelly room. All our clothes smelled like cigarette smoke after our one night stay. I informed the front desk clerk and his response was, “Thanks for letting me know.”

Clean, comfortable room. Good WiFi. Good breakfast. Good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Great location with easy access to the highway. Quiet. Lots of options for dining from fast food, to fast casual, and more "fancy" options. Good shopping very nearby. No ice machine on the same floor as my room. I'm short (5'3") and the bed was very tall and it was difficult for me to get into it. It was very comfortable once I got into it. No pool. I would stay again if in Cedar Rapids.

The mattress was comfortable and the room clean. The staff were terrible, difficult to locate at both check in and check out. All entrance doors did not work. Breakfast was barely anything--muffins, coffee, and juice. No fruit, or eggs.

Key kept failing. Parking was tough. One door never locked
