excellent breakfast buffet very good obliging smiling staff. rooms very comfortable.

Everything, very friendly staff, tasty food, fresh air.

Great location right on the sea. We had a sea view with a bath in the room and separate shower in the wc. Tea and coffee in the room. Not a fan of buffet breakfasts but the quality was ok.

Countryside Misleading

We had to leave before breakfast but dinner was fabulous! Stuffed chicken, vegies, and haggis bon bons! I still think of it all! All was good

The breakfast was incredible and the rooms were head and shoulders above where we've stayed in the past.

Charley, Colin, Jack, Karen and others were exceptional. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to make our stay memorable in a good way. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional. We enjoyed unwinding at days end in the bar and the dinner was just what we needed. (Maybe to much of it,but...) Wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely setting with very nice staff and restaurant

The assistance was great in regards to having a last minute guest added onto the room. The little pods/chalets are clean and the furniture placement is fantastically positioned to make the most of a quaint little space. It still feels "roomy". All amenities are in the pods. Kettle/cups and sachets. Shower is clean. The pods contain a nice sized double bed and the sofa pulls out to become a good sized double bed too with duvet/pillows/bottom sheet in the storage compartment within the sofa on the side. The hotel food is amazing. You get a sense of luxury both in the theme of the food and the atmosphere. It felt like a posh/classy restaurant without the snobbiness that you come to expect in establishments like that. We enjoyed all aspects of the night away so I can't think of any negatives about it.

It was beautiful and quaint No lift

Everything was very nice but the mattress was not good.

Rooms were well appointed, outside deck was a huge plus. Loved having a restaurant on the property. Please clean the carpets in the hallways. It's a beautiful, clean boutique hotel. Well appointed and fresh paint. Restaurant could use some organization. Staff was wonderful, was just unorganized.

The staff were exceptional during our stay, very polite and friendly, they were super helpful whenever we needed assistance with anything. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, the portion size was great as well. The breakfast was fantastic with a good variety. The location is great, in a nice quiet village. It's a great location for those visiting Edinburgh who don't want to pay Edinburgh prices. Overall a fantastic hotel with very friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced overall. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Wifi was hit and miss at times but that's the only very minor gripe.

This was our second visit within a month. The property is lovely and there are lots of good walks nearby for your dog if you bring it with you. Only complaint is the new girl behind the bar not realizing that a soda and lime came with lime and giving attitude when asked to rectify. All other staff were amazing.
