A great spot to stay, yummy breakfast, beautiful pool, helpful staff & a cute dog!

Everything at Val de Vine was great! Especially the hospitality of Val, the owner, and all her staff. The location and facilities are excellent, and the breakfast was great! A special thanks to Val and friends for spoiling us on our 40th anniversary - we really appreciated it and something we will never forget! We will be back! If I must say something, a fridge in the room will be nice.

Everyone was very friendly, it was very clean, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Sometimes there are live performances, it was very lively!

The room was spacious and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable, with lovely cozy duvets. We also loved that 2 bottles of still water were provided free of charge. We had a delicious buffet breakfast and they kindly made us some fried eggs as well - thank you. The cappuccinos were fabulous (we love a good coffee!). The setting is very pretty, with lots of space to sit in the gardens. We felt very secure, no safety issues. We loved the resident dog - a gorgeous boerbul! ROOM: Our family who slept downstairs said they heard the people in the room above them when they walked around. We unfortunately were woken by some noisy Instagrammers doing a photo shoot outside our bedroom. The management did apologise, so all is forgiven! BREAKFAST: The waiter struggled to serve both us and help a party of visitors who were setting up a 21st brunch in the next-door function room. He was running from one room to the next, trying his hardest to please everyone, but it was frustrating having to wait for him to return so that we could order cappuccinos, fried eggs, etc. There were no spoons at our table so we also had to wait for the waiter to come back, then he could look for them. I tried to find them myself behind the counter in the breakfast room (it was pretty mucky there... a little cleanup would be good?). It would have been much better to have a dedicated waiter for the guests who were staying in the accommodation. A NOTE FOR THE NOISE SENSITIVE: When we arrived, there was loud music playing (Saturday afternoon), so we were not able to take an afternoon nap - it might be an idea to turn down the volume? Also, be aware that there is some road noise, as the venue faces a main road. We could hear some noise of the people in the neighbouring room, so be careful not to make too much noise yourself!

Shower was cold. Having to pay for cappuccino and juice, which should be part of the breakfast.

Nice relaxing garden , and the breakfast was lovely

The location was excellent

The beds were really comfortable and the rooms tastefully done. All was good but the older lady in the office did not even acknowledge my presence though the younger one was charming, friendly and accommodating.

Location Size of bathroom. Lack of TV Bedroom faced main road

I initially booked a twin bed room with a balcony. I received an email from the facility with a room number. On arrival I was told that the wrong room has been allocated to me. I was then given a room in the attic which they call the, "honeymoon" room. We were taken to the room through the kitchen. Room has steep staircase with little to no supportive railings. The room door couldn't close properly. Room right next to the laundry room of which the door was always open. No internet reception in the room. After complaining all the manager said we were sorry and suggested that I must move around in the room to get an internet connection.

Comfortable and clean. Pet dislike is toilet and bathroom in same room as bedroom with no door Otherwise pleasant.

The restaurant atmosphere was fantastic The fact that the walls are incredibly thin, therefore, every conversation was heard. The air conditioning fan in the roof was so loud and keep mr awake throughout the night. No TV or mini bar fridge. Not worth the value.

Brilliant location, beautiful decor, comfortable rooms and a convenient restaurant!

Very good
-
Location and scenery. The Honeymoon suite has a hidden entrance, that cuts through the kitchen.
-
Conveniently located and beautiful scenery. The route needed to take through the kitchen for the Honeymoon suite, seems a bit superfluous.

The beds were very comfy and the majority of the staff were very kind and attentive. The location is on a very busy road, constant noise of cars throughout the day. The bedrooms with balcony/patio are a bit misleading, from the photo's it looks like you have a balcony just to yourself but the balcony and patio are all connected to each other and you have to walk in front of others room to reach your room, which means that firstly, you can't keep your curtains open if you are in the room as people will see you. This means closing curtains during the day to get dressed etc. Not ideal, but it also means that our patio wasn't for our exclusive use at all. People came and sat there throughout the day, if anything it largely decreased our sense of privacy.
