Great hotel. Stayed in one of the larger rooms and all very good indeed. Overall a charming hotel with verny friendly people running it and great if you have a dog. Only issue was that there was an auto club meeting at the hotel and we had no choice but to eat what they were having as their menu since they had booked the resturant. Food was ok so no issue but it would have been good to know before hand.

Beautiful architecture. Gorgeous grounds overlooking sweeping views of gardens up to the Charente river and continuing to the horizon. Large stylish room with large comfortable bed. Great bedding, great mattress. Loved the cool double sink, really groovy mid century feel. Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, elegant cognac parlor. No complaints at all.

Amazing place and very professional staff. Restaurant for dinner was great as was breakfast buffet.

Nice terrace view. Very good dinners Carpets were stained in the hallways. Outdated bathroom. Personal terrace was dirty

A very good hotel with delightful staff, excellent food at dinner and breakfast. Very original decor in rooms and corridors, dining room very stylish. Good cocktails, outstanding configure.

Lovely big comfortable bed in a very spacious room. Good hot shower. Staff lovely and helpful. A bit run down.

Very friendly staff but no one around when we wanted an early evening drink from the bar The room had a lovely view and was nicely decorated but some minor repairs needed Food was delicious Really enjoyed the walk down to the river and using the spa

People and nice colorful decorations everywhere. Room and bed good and a very good breakfast. Nice grounds and a great view from the terrace. I wasn’t impressed with diner

A great hotel in a quiet location in the suburbs of the city. Amazing decor in the public areas and bedrooms. Very comfortable beds and big walk in shower. Restaurant was slick and stylish. The food was very good and arrived promptly. A varied and tasty French menu. The terrace and outdoor pool I am sure add another great dimension in summer.

Although the restaurant was fully booked, the hotel fitted us in for a superb meal. One of the best we have enjoyed in France for some time. Thank you. Would like to know in advance that as a resident, we still had to book the restaurant.

Very clean. Lovely staff. Great spa. Nicely situated with great view and nice terras. A beer (local) costs 8 euros. Other than that: no negatives.
