Mix is always a great place to stay. And as Chengdu has gotten bigger, this neighborhood has remained peaceful - great teahouses by the river, and a great restaurant next door.

I loved this hostel. The room I was in, a dorm room with 2 beds, had plenty of room. I appreciate the lock box in the room.. It was great to be able to do my laundry. There are lots of choices on this street to get food. The room had air conditioning for when it gets really hot. It was very quiet, had plenty of shared spaces. It just had a nice, friendly feel about it. The people at the front desk spoke English and were extremely nice and helpful. I can't think of anything.

Very good location not far from super comfy metro line, in 5 min walk Wenshu Yuan Monastery, which i recommend to visit with lots of nice restaurants. The boxes have code lockers, slippers, bed was comfy. Stuff was very nice and helpful, recommend me some place to eat, that i was visiting many times)) I can't say that's really minus, but the building has area that has windows and it's open most of the time, so you can be freezing in shower area, that's a bit uncomfortable during December. And for the light and air-cond in the room you have to use card, so if somebody from the room go out and take it you can stay without heating during the night or without light, it's annoying and seems strange in the hostel

Great location (by the river) and helpful staff... they can get you on tours or workshops (the cooking workshop is good) and super low cost for a pretty good room... walls are a bit thin... guests can be a bit loud sometimes... very noticeable... shower/bathroom across the hall... couldn't really fault this place for the price... good experience... Was a bit noisy at times... some of the westerners (?) don't mind having a loud talk at 11pm at night... but generally really good place to first arrive at when in Chengdu... very interesting place if you follow the river for a good while...

the beds were comfortable, the AC did wonders in such a humid climate, the shared showers and bathrooms were actually pretty nice. the room was only clean where you could see, between the headboard and the mattress it was full of dust, which is inconvenient since it’s right next to where you lay your head when you sleep.

The staff is brilliant! They are very welcoming, and super helpful. They go beyond and suggest good things to do. Specially Helena, a Chinese lady who is very knowledgeable with lots of historic facts about the city.

The lobby had a good vibe and was friendly. The staff was super helpful and helped facilitate social occasions to meet other travelers. They even helped facilitate a vegetarian option for the dumpling making party! The shared room was fine, the bed was comfortable and there was space for my belongings in a shelf on the bunk and in a locker in the room. The showers were clean and so were the showers.

It was in a good location The reception staff weren’t really that nice and welcoming…& it’s quite intimidating, the people staying there aren’t very friendly && not travellers, I think a lot of people live there. The vibe they advertise is not what you get.

Good accomodation in a great location . The staff were very helpful and friendly .Good value for the money .Very friendly vibe. WiFi was a bit patchy .Not doing food any more albeit a breakfast menu is advertised in the rooms.

It was easy to find and quiet even though it is on a very busy street. The hostel is run down and particularly the common bathrooms were quite dirty. Everyone smokes, so for a non-smoker it was hard. Although it says Monastery, there is no monastery anywhere to be seen.
