Changmoi House (Little Village)

The bed is not the most confortable.

The staff was fantastic. Super helpful, very friendly, and quite attentive to our needs. They kept the room clean and stocked everyday with extra water and changed out the towels. Breakfast was great, too! The room could use a little bit of attention. The main thing was broken drapes and a torn curtain. They were minimal issues given the overall location and the awesome staff.

Location is perfect, tucked away yet easy walking to everything. Breakfast was awesome, cooked to order.

Breakfast was tasty and definitely sufficient. The room we received felt outdated to us and very small. We were four people and booked a room originally intended for three adults, but in practice we could barely move. There was space for only one bag or suitcase, nothing more. Inside the room there was a very steep staircase that took up space and also felt a bit unsafe, especially with children. There was no table and no chairs, only beds. If you want to sit, work on a laptop, or eat something, you will end up doing it on the bed. It’s simply not comfortable. The main issue that really affected our stay was the lack of hot water. There was no hot water in the shower for an entire week. I spoke several times with the hotel staff, and they promised to take care of it, but nothing changed. We ended up showering in cold water every day. Had I known this would be the situation, I would have moved to another hotel on the first day. The water pressure was also very weak, so even the cold shower itself was not pleasant. We visited during the dry season, and nights were cold, around 12 degrees Celsius. There was no way to heat the room, as the air conditioner only worked on cooling mode. Our two small children came out of a cold shower into a cold room. This is not an experience I would want to repeat. Another detail that bothered us: we were four guests, but received only three towels in total. No face towels, no hand towels. It was simply not enough, especially for a room booked for four people. In summary, the hotel is inexpensive, and that may be its only real advantage. Looking back, if I had known what the situation in the room and shower would be like, I would not have booked it. I won’t return, and I think it’s important for others to be aware of this so they won’t be surprised.

Location was good. Staff were helpful. Room smelled musty/dirty. We were told to leave 1000 tbht per room, so 2000 deposit. Upon check out we were told only 1000 was collected. The manager says CCTV shows 1000 paid. I said I can come back and look at footage...never received response. Beware of the scam...take a photo!!!

Need to know that this is a backpacker place with low facilties. The bed is impossible to sleep on cause its very hard. One room has only warm water but not hot. The place outside is full of cockroaches that sometimes get inside the room. During the night there is a noise of pump or something from the air condition. See the above. Just better know what to expect.

Changmoi House was a perfect experience for me. The room was large and spotlessly clean with very good AC (necessary in Thailand). The location was fantastic, close to the Old City and walkable to numerous temples. The staff was amazingly kind, generous with time and information and always supremely pleasant. And breakfast was amazing!! This place is 10/10 for budget stay! Nothing. All was perfect.

We stayed for about six days, and every day the breakfast was different and absolutely delicious. My friends and I really enjoyed it! I put up the "Needs Cleaning" sign, but each time, the service has only provided bottled water and changed the trash bag. It would be great if this could be improved—thanks in advance! ?

My second time to come here very clean close to gate and surrounding area is booming with lots of good cafe and restaurants love this quiet alley!

Food, beds and cat Someone hit our door at night

We stayed 4 nights with two kids and just loved the place for the lush and intimate atmosphere and smiling staff. It’s located perfectly in a nice area with plenty of nice restaurants and shops which can be reached by walk in just a few minutes.

A little hotel made me feel like staying home. It is located in a great location, near Tha Phae Walking Street and Warorot Market within 5 minutes walk. Breakfast was great. I really love their pancakes. nothing

It is our second stay in the property and a different room. We booked a triple room this time. The bathroom was exception in terms of size, design and cleanliness. Bathroom products were in refillable containers with large print. Room design was comfortable and spacious. Linen was clean and good quality. The property itself is in a quiet back street of a bustling area just outside the Old City which sees a bit more of the action at night. Can definitely recommend. The property is affordable, mid-range accommodation that makes an excellent base for touring the area. Great laundry service next door. Nothing
