It is one of the best places to stay in Thailand. The owner and staff are so kind and made me feel comfortable the whole time. If you're very lucky you might get to taste the owners amazing food. I can't wait to come back.

Nice I hope Wooden house It’s not sound proof

I had the pleasure of staying here for a month as I was working from Chiang Mai remotely. From the day I checked in the hosts made me feel welcome, making sure I was as comfortable as possible. I stayed in the front upstairs twin room with a fan at the front of the property initially. Some other reviews have stated that the room can be loud and hot. I didn't find this at all and found the room very comfortable. They provide ear plugs which I only used a couple of times as the room was quiet enough and the fan also worked well keeping the room cool. As I was staying for a long period, the host insisted on moving me to the nicer, more expensive double room at the back of the house as soon as it became available at no extra cost as she wanted me to experience the peacefulness and the scenic view of the river. A really nice touch and one I greatly appreciated. Every Saturday morning, the host would cook delicious, traditional local Thai food for all guest at no extra cost and free snacks, coffee and tea were always available. All communal areas in the house were cleaned frequently to a high standard and were spotless and I was able to get my room cleaned whenever I requested it. The location of the house is great, so close to great spots, but also in a nice and quiet area. I feel very lucky to have found this place and will definitely return when I'm next in Chiang Mai. Very quiet and lonely. Not much interaction with anyone else

Room and shared bathroom were clean. Hosts were lovely. Easy to walk to many restaurants and bars and night markets. Room got very hot despite fan and mobile air conditioning unit.

Lovely place, small and cozy. Great location, very close to the center of Chiang Mai but just outside of the hassle and bustle. Room was comfy, riverside Great to chill a bit at night. Value for money for sure. Although neither the owner nor the housekeeper speak a word in English, they are super efficient with using Google Translate with voice and they make any communication easy, just don't try to tell them anything in English either loud or slow, they ll use the phone and do the trick. Super lovely owner made Thai breakfast for all guests on Saturday as part of her spiritual offering. They did laundry for us for 60 Baht and even stored my luggage for 50 baht a day for 5 days that I was traveling around Chiang Mai. Very cozy feeling, definitely recommend ?

Host is really friendly and helpful. We liked the balcony with river view It was noisy outside, so we had to close windows during the night. Without AC it was hot sometimes.

wish showers were hotter

I would like if there was AC in the room, and not just a fan.

The location is great! It's walking distance from the night markets and cute cafes. Most importantly, the host is the loveliest woman. She is caring, generous and supportive and makes you feel so special. She brought me fresh fruit everyday and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. I will miss her!

I needed somewhere calm and quiet for my first few, jetlagged days in Asia. Arku house was perfect. Nice, quiet and clean boarding house. The hostess was an absolute sweetheart, so kind and helpful, shared watermelon and banana with me on hot afternoons and even loaned me a water gun for Songkran!

The owner was so kind an sweet, even the last day of my staying she brought me some delicious food, im definitely coming back, thanks ?
