The room we were issued had people in it, but the helpful staff got us a new room immediately & brought us the coldest room frig I have ever had, to our room.
-
It was a good stay. The hotel was being renovated while we were there, so some areas were inaccessible due to construction, but the staff were friendly and did their best to help as needed. Overall, it's a cute hotel with fun sports-themed art. The gym is completely updated and new, which my sons used, and the bar/restaurant is also nice. Overall, a great stay if you want to be close to Wrigley Field.

Great location. Elevator didn’t work the entire six days. Housekeeping never cleaned our room.
-
Room was next to the stairwell so all day/night you heard the door squeak & shut to allow for guests to enter/leave the floor. Would've appreciated some level of advanced warning, apologies or compensation for booking a room and having to deal with renovations.

Location. Location.

Cute boutique hotel close to shopping, food, Wrigley Field and other landmarks of interest. Wasn't aware of the construction going on until we checked in. No elevator but we were able to get a ride up to the 4th floor in the service elevator. Building is very old, stairwells are narrow, rooms are small and the bathroom is even smaller. Sink was very low when compared to more modern facilities. Bed was comfortable. Suited our needs but wouldn't stay there again until construction is completed.

Some rooms were not ready to be occupied, not fully renovated, but rented out anyway. No working elevator. We were given a room without a tv. In all my thousands of u.s. hotel stays, I have never been given a room without a tv. Especially not at a Hilton Property. We were then given the choice of a third floor half renovated room. It had a claw foot bathtub. Not very useful for an 81 year old. We declined the change. This hotel needs to complete the renovations before attempting to be fully operational. The price charged was too high considering the condition. The location is good. Would not go back.

This was a Days Inn, being retrofitted. They try to keep operating during construction, but it is not ready for prime time. What is also disconcerting, is that they are charging premium prices without the amenities you would expect from a Hilton property. That said, the location is very good. Nice, convenient neighborhood. I would not stay there again.

Location Nothing worked including the elevator
-
The room was spacious and comfortable. Besides no guest elevator in service and any amenities needed, everything had to be picked up at the front desk.
-
The hotel is in a good location in the Lakeview part of town. The staff were friendly. The room was a good size. The elevator was out so one had to use the service elevator. The hotel is under renovation. The bathroom is awkward and needs updating. There was plenty of hot water. The room didn’t have a refrigerator.

Very good

The rooms are a bit old. Comfortable for a short stay. The guest elevator was down so had to do stairs or the freight elevator.

I booked a double room and they put us in a single and said they didn’t have any doubles available. I had to share a full size bed with another grown adult. The ac didn’t work so it was a hot and uncomfortable experience. The girl we originally spoke to was apologetic and nice. Beyond that, we were not impressed by customer service. The room was old and gross. I was shown the room I should’ve gotten and it was twice the size and updated. I would not go back here. Not for the mixup, for the pathetic customer service. They were simply going to offer me a discount meanwhile the room we were put in cost way less than what I paid for the double room so the discount was meaningless. I got my money back after bugging the general manager (or district can’t remember) and she NEVER RESPONDED. But she obviously saw my emails. Totally classless customer service from her and her staff (besides the young lady). Do not recommend

Property was good for a low price. Staff was helpful and recommended good places to eat. Very good experience!

The problems started right away. I was directed to park my car in a parking garage around the corner that costs guests an additional $40 per night. There was no garage attendant, no elevator, a dimly lit staircase, and a malfunctioning payment machine at exit time. After walking back to the hotel to check in, they immediately charged my card over $1400 for two nights, and then proceeded to tell me that their elevators were out of service, and that they hadn’t worked “in a while” Options, walk up and down narrow staircases with your luggage, or ride the ancient freight elevator with a staff member. The room itself was so outdated and tiny, I had to laugh. The bathroom sink clogged with first use, the TV signal didn’t work, the only ice machine was back down in the lobby, and the ironing board was broken. In the morning, there’s no coffee in lobby, and upon returning back to the room after 4:00, I realized there’s no housekeeping service either! The hotel staff was the bright spot, and they really tried to be helpful, but all they could do was apologize and offer to take 25% off my stay. The Lincoln Park location is good but Hilton really needs to completely renovate Hotel Versey, or lower the prices. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else.

Location My first morning I awoke to renovation work noise at 7:30am. My room 242 was right near the work. When I called the reception to ask why they were working before 8am I was informed that they would ask them to stop. I called the reception again about 15 minutes later because they were still working then I was informed that they could not ask them to stop working and that only the general manager could - ok then contact the general manager because they are disturbing your guests who are paying a high daily rate to stay at your hotel!! Then I noticed black hair on the bathroom wall and all over the carpet (the hair was sticking to my feet) and I asked in person at the reception for the room to be vacuumed again and for the bathroom wall to be cleaned. They didn’t clean it - 2 nights passed and I myself asked the cleaning lady to take care of the issues. The reception staff were very abrupt and cold. Only one free water bottle in the room, the espresso machine had issues and the plastic cups were too large for the machine. No breakfast, absolutely nothing extra. I wrote 3 emails to the general manager email I found online, no response. I would never stay there again especially for the price. Wicker Park Inn is my absolute favorite but they were fully booked.

Exceptional

The elevator was broken. The TV didnt work and the wifi was horrible. Gor the money you spend for the Hiton brand I was very disappointed.

Staff was so professional and polite, however the elevator was broken and we were on the fourth floor…. They did take us up to our room with our bags in the service elevator however it was stairs anytime we wanted to leave the property during our stay. Not tragic situation, but also not ideal. Also, the gym was closed for renovation so I guess using the stairs made up for that, lol. Definitely wasn’t a terrible stay but I probably wouldn’t choose it again.
