The Whitehall Hotel, BW Premier Collection

We had a great hotel stay. Property is clean and staff is very helpful!

The whitehall is my favorite hotel in Chicago. It is so conveniently located. It is cozy and the rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms need some updating but overall superb.

Great location and classic boutique style

Clean comfortable beds. Great air conditioning. Valet parking across the street. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and bars on Rush.

Location is fantastic, 3 min walk to Willis tower, 10 min walk to mag mile, riverwalk area. Nice area also. It has a very nice little bar.. Breakfast was awful, toaster didn't work half the time, bread, peanut butter, fruit, cereal, most guests complained every morning. Staff not friendliest but weren't rude either.

The property was older but well maintained. The staff was helpful. My biggest complaint is I chose the property because of the free breakfast but they do not offer free breakfast. I felt that I got scammed by the hotel. It is a bait and switch scam to get you to choose that hotel and when you're already there they say that they've just started charging but all along they never had free breakfast.

Not smart tv’s, Toilet looks like it’s from the gas station, not a lot of room on sink counter, no light switches in room besides the restroom, outlets were old and couldn’t hold a phone charger to save their life, other than that the bed was comfy shampoos and conditioners smelled good and the guest staff were really nice.

Very old but affordable and parking is close.

The staff were extremely pleasant and the building was in a perfect location and neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend

Unfortunately, our check-in experience was extremely unpleasant because of the attitude of the female front desk employee whose name began with an “A.” When I told her that I needed parking, she repeatedly asked me the same question three or four times. I clearly answered “Yes” several times, yet she continued and said, “I’m asking you.” I honestly did not understand why a simple check-in conversation needed to feel like an interrogation. What made it worse was her attitude throughout the interaction. She repeatedly rolled her eyes while speaking with me and came across as extremely unfriendly and disrespectful. I was traveling with my family to enjoy our trip, not to be questioned or treated with obvious annoyance by a hotel employee. It is unfortunate because the hotel itself, its location, and the rest of our stay were very good. One employee’s behavior unnecessarily added a very unpleasant experience to an otherwise enjoyable trip. I hope hotel management takes this seriously and provides appropriate customer-service training. Guests should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially at check-in, which is their first impression of the hotel.

Ricky (the BEST bartender ever) was a lot of fun. Our plans were to go to the hotel bar for a quick drink and head out to dinner. We ended up spending all evening there; He kept the crowd there and made the best drinks. Just a fun time for all. We will be going back just to repeat the experience.

Great location but the rooms have not been updated or maintained very well. Old fixtures, burnt out light bulbs, the hotel is showing it's age.

Close to almost everything. Accessible to bus, walking distance to red train. Very close to Michigan lake.

This is a more affordable option for being right in the city within walking distance of tourist attractions. However this property is outdated (I don’t know if that is their style), the hallway have this weird attic smell, our room was dusty and the lighting is terrible in the room. The staff is okay nothing exceptional.
