a nice and quiet place

Heads up, the gravel road to their place is like 1.5 k or something like that, and is pretty rocky with some huge potholes. I have an Xterra for just such rough Yucatan roads, but I couldn’t imagine taking it in a small rental car or something. I was surprised that such a nice place would have such a terrible road, so while I highly recommend this place, just be careful if you’re driving something small and be prepared for a little off-roading. In my opinion it is worth it, though.

Employees are very kind. It seems close to Chichen itza but the hotel is located way deep in the woods with a terribly unpaved road which makes it even worse to get there. Once you get there, the reception, you have to walk even further to get to your room on an unpaved track, so all your luggage needs to be carried by hand to your room. THERE'S NO TV, Internet, vending machine or iron in the rooms. No ride share service. There was no hot water either. The facilities looked abandoned and the room could use some paint as it was full of stains. Whoever the owner is, you don't appreciate the potential you have there to let such a great complex fall apart.

I loved the location, food, pool, fire place, grounds all around. I hated the old unit in my room. Our unit was ancient and didn't dehumidify; if anything, it caused humidity. My parent's room had a swapped newer unit, and their room felt nice. Put it this way, I had to sleep with a sweater or full clothes so the wet feeling in the sheets while I slept didn't drive me crazy. My fiance hated it, but we know "jungle". It wasn't just the jungle factor, it was the unit being ancient and sub par functions. It's the second time here, and it might come a 3rd up in the air.

Property layout is exceptionally well done. Mother & daughter gracefully hosted NYE party for guest. Staff were wonderful and willing to entertain English. Unfortunately our roof leaked extensively during the heavy rainfall, but we rolled with it.

the breakfast should be more complete

Great! This is a very nice hotel surrounded by jungle. It is very peaceful and a super place to relax! The personnel was very nice, friendly and helpful. It is only 10 min. to Chichin Itza. Breakfast was delicious. The restaurant is recommendable! Nothing.

Breakfast quite enjoyable and hotel in lovely surroundings and very convenient for visiting Chichen Itza etc. Staff very helpful. On arrival reception a little difficult to find and not much information provided. Only found out about observation tower after chance conversation with waiter

Off the beaten track, in the jungle. Beautiful location. Friendly staff, we stayed in a comfortable, super cool ‘bungalow’.
-
Large bungalow lots of privacy Entire property is run down, needs major repairs in bungalows as well as pools and grounds… pictures and reviews are not current
-
Need a little more attention to cleaning the sinks.

Superb

The room was very nice and it is really close to the archeological area No Wi-Fi in the room (only in the reception and the restaurant), the pools was not really clean, the included breakfast was only bread with jam and fruits (anything else - like eggs - was to be paid), no real parking, it’s not easy to bring luggages in the room if they’re heavy

Hotel located in the forest, peace and quiet. Close to Chichen Itza. Large rooms. We arrived before 3 pm and there was no problem with early check-in. Two nice pools - only few sunbeds at one there were 5, at the other only 1 (there were definitely more guests). The breakfast offer includes fresh fruit, yogurt and muesli. I just don't know why the information on Booking is 5 stars, the hotel is definitely lower standard. The facility is showing its age and it is very visible - the entrance door catches on the floor when opening, as does the toilet door, the flush was jammed and you had to manually set it in the right position, otherwise the water was running all the time. Very weak water pressure in the shower. The room was fairly tidy, but there were cobwebs on the ceiling and dust on the floor in the corners.

The atmosphere and being so close to the nature. The pool was super great and the staff was superb The road to the hotel needed a bit of work. And that the WiFi didn't reached to our bungalow

Jungle location, room was very clean, good for wildlife photography! Decent enough food. Checking in / out was fine and smoothly handled. Great location for Chichen Itza.
