The Parque

Very comfortable and convenient for our needs:) It was a very cold time and we found the heating inadequate. The heat pump seemed to be set on a low heat and we were unable to change it. We didn’t bother the staff as it was only a one night stay.

I booked this trip at the very last minute and had hoped there would be a room available as I have stayed a couple of years ago. I was perfect Nothing, everything met my expectations :)

Proximity to St George’s hospital, Arts Centre, Botanic Gardens and Victoria St restaurants. Easy entrance and clear instructions. Parking on site. Very clean. Quiet at night. Excellent facilities

The Parque is a very nice small hotel near downtown Christchurch in a mostly residential neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Very much as advertised Watch the latch on the front gate. It bit me twice. All else was fine.

The rooms are clean, modernly decorated, and the beds very comfy. Its very easy to find from the airport. Walking distance (15 minutes) from the city centre (Riverside Markets) and spitting distance to Hagley park. The toilet paper was thinner than the air on top of Mt Everest.

Spotless, bright, spacious

Fabulous find. Location is excellent, just a short walk to the park and lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the availability of a washing machine and tumbler dryer was an added bonus. Only slight negative is there is very limited cupboard space which isn't a problem if you are there for a short stay. I was there for 2 weeks so living out of my suitcase was not ideal.

I found the room to be fine and I don't like to leave bad reviews but feel other travellers need to be warned of my experience at The Parque. I had three items removed from my room. These were not expensive things so it is a mystery to me why they were taken. The room was cleaned while I was out and upon returning I noticed two clothing items missing and next day I further noticed a travel accessory missing. I messaged the hotel (it is unmanned apartments) requesting if they could ask the cleaner about these items, was it some mistake? However I got no response.

We really liked the roominess of the whole place. We liked the small bar area, microwave and fridge, some dishes and a tea kettle and selection of teas, roomy shower, everything super clean, well lit, and well maintained. There was even a small table and two chairs for eating or playing cards, or doing computer work. Truly it had everything needed for our comfort, and for a reasonable price. We can think of nothing that could have been better.

The decor of the room was very restful and the facilities in the room made my stay stress free. Appreciated the options available when having a hot drink. The Parque is located in an extremely convenient part of the City. I will definitely be staying at The Parque in the future. The TV remote seemed to have limited functions - perhaps it was operator error!!!

Very small room but had everything I needed. No on premise staff.

Simple but modern and comfortable room, with great in-room amenities like a kitchenette, bathrobes, and an easy check in/check out process.

It was so clean, well located and the rooms were very comfortable. Everything was really good.

Great location and clean and elegant. Lights that light up the bottom of your bed—ooh la la! A good quality place with really nothing to complain about regarding the interior of the room—they use synthetic cleaning supplies and all of that but it is a hotel. It was nice. They were doing construction across the street when I was there which is loud, and there is noise in and from the surrounding area. A busy road both east-westwards and north-southwards is 2 blocks away in the perimeter in both directions, but there is a fantastic park that is right there you can walk to and enjoy being in. They have spring water in the botanical gardens so go drink that! My room was also the front one facing the street, so others are likely much quieter.
