Caught short by a change of travel plans in Christchurch late on a Sunday afternoon. Consulted options on booking.com and found a really good deal at Bealey Ave Motel. Check in and confirmation via phone, easy and instant. Got to the motel around 5pm, the staff were welcoming, the room was incredibly clean, well appointed and - this is Christchurch in winter - great heating options. Location is excellent, right on the main streets into the city but set well back from traffic, so the room was nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. Absolutely no complaints
