Canterbury Court Motel

Never saw any staff over the 4 days that we stayed there, office always closed. We had 5 rooms booked. Cookery and cutlery was all mix up no 2 the same. rooms dirty, carpets on there last legs. Room 3 had hole in floor cavered by carpet. Room service was hit and miss. Emptyed the rubbish bin 1 day but left the plastic bags at the door to the rooms overnight. In 25 years off using booking .com this is the worst booking we have ever had, feel Booking .com should have a look at is motel, feel let down dissapointed.

Can say only the beds are okay. The whole house itself is an old piece not value of money, Couches are damaged and carpets with holes and musty smell.

When we arrived tried to shut windows the hinges only hanging on so didn't open windows again. The unit was cold. Spent the first night killing flies. Everything you touched was tacky. Poor house cleaning thick dust on window sills and scerting boards. Electric blanket didn't work. We had stayed at this motel years ago when our house was getting fixed and the manager and the units were very good then but not now. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Would have actually liked some of our money back because of the poor quality.

Convenient for parking next to the rooms. Single beds could be better. Too small for an adult.

It wasn't clean. There was still hair in the shower. Mould around the toilet walls and window on the door. No milk. Front door was dodgy, if you pushed on it hard enough it would open. Plugs were dangerous. It was broken and wriggly. Dog barking all night. Smelled musty like old damp carpet.

As soon as we opened the door it stunk really awful. Very dated with holes in the floor under the carpet.

Location is great Wifi connection was slow but over all it was great stay

Clean bed/sheets Our room had a really bad musty smell, that consumed the whole area! Didn't matter how much we aired it!

We did not stay at this hotel. We arrived and based on the condition of the room, kitchen and entire property, we found an alternative hotel. We are unlikely to get a refund, but I think we should. There is "cheap and cheerful" and we weren't expecting luxury given the price. This is "cheap and depressing" and is in need of serious renovation and cleaning. We did not feel safe leaving our belongings unattended based on the whole property and some of the other guests milling about. We arrived. Took a look around. We left and found another hotel in Christchurch. The other hotel we found was only $75 more and Night. And. Day. difference. Don't stay here until there is either new ownership or a complete renovation.

Close to Apollo stadium. Bed was comfy and sheets clean. The man in the office was delightful. Could have been cleaner. Shower/toilet could do with an update. Kitchen not 100% clean. Very dated.

The location was close to our event The rooms were dirty, there were ants in the kitchen, I only spoke to the hosts on the phone the reception was closed when we arrived at 730 pm we were 30 minutes later than our stated check in time. The property needs a lot of work to make it a nice place to stay and needs much more thorough cleaning, no sky TV as stated in brochure. Not good value for money and I won't be booking here again. Overall the place needs a lot of updating and cleaning.

kitchen stuff are that are not properly cleaned was kept inside the cupboard.

It wasn't very clean. Vinyl floors and benches sticky. Saw silver fish in the cupboards. Carpets were very dirty. It says sky on the billboard but no sky at all. Just sky open.

Location. Old dated cold compared to others at same price.wouldnt recommend .

Great location...walking distance for what we wanted Bates motel comes to mind.... Carpet covered in stains and very dated decor
