Rome Ciampino Smart Hotel

I liked how convenient it was to both the train station and the airport. It was a simple, clean room. Perfect for one night. The check in process was a little confusing. Some of it was a language issue, but the codes and things were a little difficult to use at first. Once the staff walked me through it I was fine. There were steps missing in the directions and that was the confusing part.

Good location easy to get to and from both the CIA airport and the train station. Good price clean Noise from dog outside on nearby patio - out of hotel’s control, but still annoying. Noise from people in room next to me. They were talking loudly and I could hear every word! At some time the shower must have leaked and the wall has not been properly repaired.

The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful.

From the very beginning the staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful, communication was excellent. The ease of checking in to the smart hotel was fantastic. The common area is very warm and cozy. The single room i had was very clean and comfortable. The details to the guest's comfort is apparent, even supplying you with ear plugs. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, perfect to get a good rest. The location is ideal. Not only is it close to the airport and the train station, but there are plenty of things to see and do in the general area. Plenty of dining options as well. I highly recommend this hotel. I honestly have no complaints.

The room and hotel is ok but the location is very poor and the building is so scary to stay. I also walked out the place when I saw the building but then I dared myself to see inside the hotel on the floor and it is ok not scary like the entrance one. The hotel is very close to train station. The shower stall is ridiculously tiny – I literally couldn’t wash my hair properly without hitting the walls or bending in awkward positions. The location on the map is near CIA airport, but it’s not the distance that you can walk to.

We liked that it was convenient to the airport. It did not appear to be a safe area. There was graffiti everywhere. There were gangs hanging around the outside of the building. The hotel was difficult to find. We requested parking on Booking.com we paid €20 to park our car. There was basically no parking in the area. The hotel uses very little staff. The receptionist was nice as was the maid. Do not expect much service.

I loved the smart hotel idea. I booked a king size bed, they gave us two bad next to each other. They were moving apart and very uncomfortable.

This was the perfect place for one night when catching an early morning flight. The room is tiny but everything you need for a nice rest. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful in arranging an early morning ride for us to the airport.

The complimentary coffee machine I cannot stand hotels who lie in their descriptions. They said it’s soundproof and that’s a joke! You can hear thumping from the room above and furniture scraping across the floor; you hear people yelling and talking at all hours of the night, so you can never peacefully relax. When someone turns on the shower, it’s a loud rumbling sound. I addressed this to the hotel staff, and the best they could do was give me a breakfast box that included water, crackers and a croissant. I work in hospitality and I know this is poor customer service and management. I don’t understand the excellent reviews. It was terrible. And the beds kept slipping apart so it wasn’t a queen bed but a tiny twin bed. There is nothing smart about this hotel

Neighborhood

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The room was great, the staff very helpful and accommodating and the taxi driver Sergio brought me right to the hotel door with it being quite late when I arrived. Highly recommend this hotel. ?

Clean rooms Very hard to find. Staff did not give us the code to get in the building and the staff did not answer the desk phone. Had to follow another hotel guess to get into the hotel. The hotel desk was manned. They just did not bother to pick up the entry phone line.

Clean, comfortable and quiet! Very easy to get to from the train station and just as easy to get to the airport terminal by taxi.
