Plantation Bay a Real Resort with a Real Spa
About Plantation Bay a Real Resort with a Real Spa
Tired of resorts that look just like city hotels in your hometown? Plantation Bay is built like a village, with most rooms directly fronting an extensive private lagoon and artificial beaches. Eye-soothing low-rise architecture. Comfortable, well-appointed, spacious (46 square yards, 490 square feet) rooms with elegant bathrooms (separate tub and shower, large counter area). Romantic King 4-Posters in some rooms, practical two Queens in others. Just 30 minutes to the airport or the center of Cebu City, yet MORE leisure activities than any other resort in the country, possibly the world. Most of the usual marine activities, plus scuba (dove sites just offshore or in 15 minutes by boat), island cruises and picnics, wall-climbing, archery, tennis, pickleball, badminton, Arcade Game Room, Gym, Children’s Boot Camp and daily activities, Botanical Tour, Bird-watching guide, golf (nearby), mall/shopping/gaming (about 20 minutes), whale-shark watching and other excursions (whole day). MORE space per guest than any other resort in the world anywhere near this price range. 11 has. (28 acres) for 255 rooms. Four large freshwater swimming pools and 2.3 has. (6 acres) of saltwater lagoon. No fights over pool loungers, and everyone is always front-line. Yet, unlike any of our competition in Mactan, safe for responsible older children to be left to themselves; our layout explains why. But wait, there’s more! A superb Japanese-inspired Spa, a resort within the Resort. Hot, cold, and saltwater pools, needle-shower, waterfall, sauna, steam-bath, manicure, hair-trim, and full range of therapies. Four distinctive restaurants — Asian-Seafood by the sea, with indoor or under-the-stars dining; elegant Mediterranean-Steak in a stunning Art Nouveau setting; an authentic American Diner; and a fresh-air International coffee shop surrounded by the main swimming pool and the saltwater lagoon. All serve superb dishes, some of which we proudly say are the best of their kind. Come discover how we can claim that. Peace and quiet assured for all. Toward that goal, telephone conversations and audible electronics are strictly prohibited in the gym, Spa, and most dining venues. Parents are enjoined to ensure their children do not bother others with repeated screaming or crying tantrums, which also endangers guest safety as it desensitizes staff, who might therefore fail to respond to a genuine emergency, as happens regularly in many other resorts around the world. Note: Unlike most hotels, Plantation Bay actually enforces its rules and policies. Ill-behaved guests and people addicted to their phones will thus not be happy at Plantation Bay and should book elsewhere. But if you want peace and quiet, a relaxing break from your high-stress life, we’re the resort for you. 1. Please note that the hotel only provides mattresses for extra bedding. 2. Plantation Bay a Real Resort with a Real Spa does not permit audible electronics and prolonged telephone conversations in the restaurant. All electronic devices are prohibited inside the gym and the spa. 3. Please be mindful of noise levels in consideration of our other guests, who are also entitled to have the peace and quiet they have paid for. 4. To ensure a clean and enjoyable environment for all guests, we will be implementing a Food Delivery Corkage Fee of P500 for each 6-liter bag of takeout food brought onto the property. This fee will be collected in cash by security personnel at the gate. Ordering takeout food to consume in your room can detract from the unique holiday atmosphere and may cause unintentional inconveniences. These include attracting pests, increasing cleaning and waste disposal needs, and posing health risks from improperly prepared food, especially when it comes to chicken and seafood. While many hotels in Mactan do not enforce such a policy, we ask that if you prefer to enjoy takeout food, you consider dining outside the resort or selecting accommodations that better fit your preferenc...

Multiple pools and beach access. Quiet place, isolated, with all the necessary amenities, like gym , spa , restaurant. Far away from city, limited toiletries.

The Japanese restaurant was quite slow. We had to wait a long time for both our food and even our drinks. The quality of the food was good.

Stayed 2 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids under 12. There was a small hiccup at check in (they assigned us to a room where they were working on the bathroom), but quickly found us a new one. They offered us a complementary spa visit for the inconvenience. There were many craft activities for the kids throughout the day, great restaurants to eat at, breakfast buffet was good overall, and a Game Center that the kids loved (paid video games, free pool/pingpong/foosball). The gym was also nice. The wait for a golf cart ride was short, but walking was easy since the property is built in a circular shape. Souvenir shops closed early and the Filipino special dinner was fun. It is a busy drive from the airport. The shuttle wasn’t available when we needed it, so we had to get a taxi. Also, all of the staff were very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay again if we visited Cebu even on a short trip like this one.

The property is huge and offers a number of activities to the guests. The staff are accommodating and service is great! The fresh water pool leaves black stain marks on your feet and even though they say it can be washed with water it takes days!!! And even with these stains that sticks to your feet they do not allow guests to wear swimming shoes on the freshwater pool!!! Also most food we ordered are on the salty side so maybe guests would need to inform chef to lilow on salt.

The property is beautiful. Was very pleased with the location of our rooms (not too far from the lobby area). Customer service: excellent! Food: Average. Spa experience: Wonderful. I also loved that there was Catholic Mass available on Sunday! That was a very pleasant surprise. I also liked that there were activities offered for adults and children, and not just swimming pools or beach. And appreciated the complimentary beverage. Finally, on-property carts available for those who would have difficulty walking around the property. Albeit my room was clean, there was a distinct musty odor in the room. I think it was coming from the beddings, or maybe the furniture. Unfortunately, it really bothered me.

The food was hit or miss.

I love the various pools and activities offered. So many different activities for all types of people and ages. My son loved the pools, the spa, the firing range, arcade, and jet ski. My mother loved the Zumba, hammocks, spa, and activities. Palermo was by far the best restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed parasailing, the beach, excursions, how beautiful the property is, and the convenience of transportation. We also like the complimentary towels, drinks, and bike rentals. The back massage wasn’t the best.

The lagoons are really nice to swim in and the spa was amazing. I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The place was nice. The service for a 5 star place is the worst.. We ate breakfast asked us if we want anything to drink then she pointed to the to serve ourselves while other guests was being served. They choose and pick who they want to serve. Restaurants I’ve eaten there always running out of food when it’s not even busy. I feel like they don’t want to serve anyone because workers are not allowed to accept tip from guests. That’s why service is limited.

We stayed at the Plantation Bay for a little more than two weeks; we wish we had more :) The people working there were fantastic, generous and warm. We'll miss them. Outside every apartment is it just a few meters to water of various kinds, some got a pool right outside their terrace, some got a nearly private little lagoon. Everything is centered around the pools and the Kilimanjaro Restaurant in the middle. It is plenty of trees and plants giving off a paradise vibe. The breakfast was really nice with lots of options each day and various themes depending on the day. The morning ritual of walking through the pathways crossing the saltwater lagoon and freshwater pools was something meditative for us. Restaurants with delicious food and drinks and different styles. A lot of activities to use, both small and big inside the resort and outside arranged by Plantation Bay. Whale Shark Safari, diving and snorkeling and boat trips, jet-ski, parasailing etc Great rooms, the whole resort is well designed. Administration is very serious about presenting a good package for everyone with attention for details Highly recommended. The best we've had so far. Maybe a bit sparsly equipped rooms like underwhelming tv with underwhelming sound although the bathroom was very nice. Information about activities and events could have been more accesable from the room or from online portal.

I super like that it's very private. I like everything!

The whole place has so much to offer and a lot of variety. We enjoyed the facilities, dinner, and spa the first day. Unfortunately, the second day my husband woke up sick. We went for a walk around the pool and he passed out at a table. I called for help and the staff acted immediately. Within a minute they had a medic at the table assessing the situation. After a short golf cart ride to their own clinic they had him lying down and taking medication. They watched him for two hours and even came to the check out desk to run his vitals again before we checked out. So nice and thorough.

Clean, safe, peaceful, relaxing. I wish facilities were open after 1700. I wish Route 66 was open longer. It was so fun that stopping at 1700 felt like “not enough time.”

I like all of it.

We have stayed in Plantation Bay twice now and we really loved the place, the facilities, the activities and the staff. Food choices were limited although they are great but i feel they could have more choices.
